Russ would have been better served rolling his eyes and calling Skip out on being an 8 year old, than responding like an 8 year old (assuming he had to respond at all)

Unfortunately, Russ wasn't willing to sacrifice.

You could pretty much apply any Foreigner song to Russ like he's the NBA version of Carl from ATHF.

He makes a point though. Majority wouldn't say it to his face, even if he wasn't physical with his reaction, the confrontation alone would deter majority of the Basketball Internet Community and if you're the small minority that believe you would say it to his face, you're either a try hard, or full of sh-it. It's easier to talk trash behind your phone or PC, or in the stands comforted by police or security.

He keeps saying this like he's going to do something though. Millions of people have said it at this point, some to his face, some he's clearly had to cross path with in the media at some point. And 0 punches now lol. So he really needs to stop acting like he's going to rough somebody up, it's cringy.

you can consider the human part and just don't care for him.
he's a professional and this is part of the job.
if millions of people were not as interested in him as they are he would have never made that kind of money.

this is harmless mockery, he might not like it but cry me a river

So you've seen someone literally say "Westbrick" to his face, without a phone to record, or police and security in attendance?

Come on man, let's see the "majority" say it to him without some kind of insurance to fall back on.

And I'm not saying Westbrook is a tough guy who is going to whip somebodies a-ss. But the Internet Basketball Community is so cringe that majority wouldn't have the balls to say it unless they knew they could get something out of it otherwise? It'd end up in a verbal confrontation and most people face to face, don't have the mental aptitude to handle face to face confrontation especially in today's world where they're so used to confrontation behind a screen. There is such a small minority that would go up and ridicule a person without a phone, security guard, police officer or other individual around to record the interaction. It's so damn easy to sit in the stands and talk trash then sit back, laugh and record the players angry response. Yet Westbrook is the villain here for other people acting like tools? Ok

People are bashing Westbrook for reacting the way he is, fair enough. But don't act like the Internet isn't full of wannabe tough guys especially the Basketball Community which is full of hot takes and douchebags everywhere.

A lot of ppl deserve to punched or slapped in the face for being disrespectful for absolutely no reason. The world would probably be a better place.

It's a lot easier to be disrespectful from behind a screen, flippin cowards they are
I would absolutely tell it to his face if you could guarantee me he would punch me in the face.

He chose to be a celebrity. I don't get why he thinks he still has a name after signing that deal with the devil. That said caring about your name is also irrational imo. So I can't say i get that either.

at the end of the day he's taken a job where he's there to entertain people and that can be offensive or positive. He entertains people by making fun of him. He took that job and accepted that.

Kobe didn't like Kobrick either.

No player likes to be associated with bricking.

This is the first time in my entire life I hear the word "Kobrick"

Are you rewriting the history?

First for me, but I do yell kobe kobe anytime I miss throwing trash in the can. Always after I miss, in honor of Kobe!

Nah, Russell is right for not attacking a bunch of nobodies that also aren't going to do squat. He just needs to stop responding with vague threats like he's going to do it. Stop responding at all, don't be like KD.

We live in a world where people have done crazier things like stick their head in a sharks mouth to get some extra cash in their bank account. So what's he going to do if someone dares to call him Westbrick to their face? Sucker punch em? theyll most likely make sure they get it on camera and be ready to go to court to get a pay day.

It says a lot that an out spoken player like Wesbrook can't handle fans being outspoken too about his poor performances throughout his career. It's just a game, and if you can't handle the criticism you shouldn't be a part of that game on a pro level.

Replying to Skip proves that Westbrook really isn't very intelligent.

Westbrook's reply is exactly what Skip wants when he trolls players. Skip probably has wet dreams about LeBron replying to him on Twitter.

Twitter is literally the opposite of talking to someone's face, so not sure why Westbroke would have such high expectations :-P
