The injections part is a red flag. The idea that GS is somehow off the rails here becomes a real long shot if the injections story is true.

What I don't understand is this GP II potentially taking potshots at us for pushing him to play? I thought he would have been doing backflips over going back to the Warriors, they seemed to use him best and he won a championship there.

If this really is GP II trying to **** over the Blazers I have lost all respect for him. Now if everything coming out is 100% true and the Blazers are fully at fault fine then GP II is in the clear. I just can't understand GP's thought process for trying to **** over a team that got him paid.

I was saying if this was drummed up by GP II, like I said we have no clue how accurate these reports are. So there are multiple parties that might be exaggerating the truth, it might be the Warriors, it might be GP II.

Seriously, Cronin needs to be fired and a whole new management team needs to be brought in. This is embarrassing and the city of Portland deserves better.

wait...wut?

injections of Toradol?

you do know that's just an anti-inflamatory don't you? A NASID. I've had Toradol injections for an Achilles injury and a shoulder. It's not an opiod. It's simply a injectible type of anti-inflammatory, like Ibuprofen is an oral anti-inflammatory. The only 'pain-relief' property is by a reduction of inflammation

and do you know if Portland gave him that option and he accepted? or if Portland pressured him?

and the saga keeps getting less and less dramatic. here is the Warriors beat writer this morning:

Read on Twitter

LOL..."waive the physical and keep him even if he's out another 2, 3, or 4 weeks"

so now, the disaster of being out for 3 months may be all the way out to being out for 2 weeks?

I wonder how long he'll be out by tomorrow

obviously, if the Blazers withheld pertinent medical information about Payton, and kept it from the Warriors, that's bad. Fraudulent. Worse is it would be stupid because it would be certain to be exposed.

the Front office would have to be cleared because no other front office in the league would deal with those people. Blazers would be toxic in any trades and toxic for any free agent signings

and Jody Allen and the Vulcans would be ultimately responsible...or should be at least

Warriors have more incentives to finalize the trade.

GP2's contract provides them some luxury tax relief compared to keeping Wiseman through next season.

Also, Donte DiVicenzo has outplayed his contract, likely to decline his player option for next year so they need a backup guard.

We did not exactly need this example to know Cronin is not fit to be GM.

Their defense has also been **** since last season, they went from 3rd best defense to 26th. GP II is not the only reason for this change but they dramatically need help on that end.

I get GPII may have failed his physical, but where did the rest of the story come from? Who said the Blazers did not disclose his medical issues or that the Blazers told him to suck it up and gave him injections? Is any of that actually true? The damage is done because people don't know how to be patient and wait for the facts to come out. They jump ship and onto the nearest and/or loudest bandwagon and condemn those who may just be innocent. Choose a side once the facts come out. Until then, the Blazers are innocent until proven guilty.

Read on twitter:
Arron Goodwin - the agent of Gary Payton II - Tells @NBAonTNT/@Bleacher Report that "despite of what's being reported, my client never took Toradol shots to be available for games during his time in Portland."
Sounds to me like someone with a grudge against portland made up that story! :x

Wow, if this ends up being true I hope whoever made this story up faces backlash. This is almost a potential slander case if the Blazers FO wants to pursue legal action. If they can find out who was behind the story this is a pretty damn open and shut case of slander.

Today, a players agent is involved in most major aspects of that players career. There is no way GP2's
agent would not know
