GSW dominated the boards and still lost by 30 here. Lakers should take game 4..

Whoever takes game 4 is whoever I see having the advantage in terms of taking the series. Still at a 50-50 but feeling, but riding with my Lakers in 6 prediction.

Did not see the game playing out this way after Q1. Great game from the Lakers. They seem to have found an answer to GSW's offense. They gotta focus on boxing out and cleaning up those loose balls for next game.
Seeing number 0 drive to the basket gave me quite a scare there. Thought I was seeing a ghost.

I get the sense that this will end up being a big series in the whole Steph/LeBron debate in the future. Which is to say that if Steph wins people will say Steph being 4-1 against LeBron is why he can't be the goat etc while if LeBron wins it means he went 2-1 with no KD involved against the pretty clear 2nd best player of his generation.

This sequence right after LeBron subbed back in was beautiful all-around

I am pretty confident in saying that Lakers will win this series regardless if they stay healthy: Warriors are either physically outmatched or play with some questionable spacing lineups + have worse defense + worse offensive depth. Already had two offensive outbursts from a 3pt line and still are 1-2 down.
Obviously, this is still Steph, so full respect and effort is well needed, but it looks deadly promising for the Lakers if AD can keep his intensity level/LeBron's jumper is finally on. I'm more confident before G4 than I was before G6 against Memphis if I'm being completely honest.

So far this playoffs, we haven't trailed at all in either series. Winning game 1 makes things way less stressful. I remember all the game 1s lost in big in the Heat days and 2020 lakers

Curry such a frontrunner lol
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Literally the only times LeBron faced Curry with remotely fair odds are this year and 2016. And even this year LeBron shouldn't even be playing according to the doctors. I'm not sure why Curry gets any credit for "managing" to beat LeBron with Timofey Mozgov as his number 2 or with a 73 win team+a borderline 10 all time top player added to it.

Ya well I'm talking about more among nba fans in general, not on this board where such things get put more into context. Steph being 4-1 against LeBron would get brought up a lot.

I get the sense that even though you are probably right in terms of media narrative - this is a firm example how bizarre these media narratives are since Curry is a more impactful player right now/LeBron is way more impactful player throughout their careers regardless of an outcome here. It's nonsensical.
But I agree, lol, I wrote before the series that for whatever reason it looks like a mini-legacy series. I hope Nuggets will advance (even though they look like much more dangerous opponents than this Suns' team) purely on a basis that there won't be this legacy bs thrown all over the place.

Eh I'm sure some people will try to claim Jokic is better than LeBron all time if Denver faces the Lakers and Denver wins. LeBron is the only player I've ever seen who isn't allowed to lose or be injured according to the general NBA populace. Well, maybe not the only but no one else to the extent he gets it. KD I would say gets treated really unfairly as well.

Btw. this dunk of Wiggins on Davis was lethal - I know he turned his career around after being labeled as a bust by turning into +starting-level player for a championship team, but damn, he's still such a wasted talent in my eyes in not developing allstar-level fundamentals in terms of handles/playmaking, he's such a physical specimen.
With Durant, it would be bs narrative similar to this one of Curry-LeBron rivalry on ESPNs.
LeBron-Jokic would be more of passing the torch series if Lakers lose (and play this series, first of all), more like Kareem getting outplayed by Hakeem in '86 and stuff like that. I can live with Jokic setting exclamation point on becoming this generation's face against LeBron in the playoffs, he's fantastic.RRR3 wrote:Eh I'm sure some people will try to claim Jokic is better than LeBron all time if Denver faces the Lakers and Denver wins. NBA fans and commentators alike. Bron has as many all-NBA teams since turning 30 as Curry has in his career and morons like Stephen A are saying Steph has the better resume. Part of me will be relieved when he retired and I can stop caring about this league.

Curry proponents would prolly argue that the involvement of AD also muddies the waters, thus still making it 1-1 (2015 & 2016) in series where LeBron/Steph were their team's sole superstar.

If Ham doesn't adjust, I don't want to hear anyone say he isn't terrible ever again.
That first quarter was rough but the gameplan was great outside of that
