Whatever man, stupid argument to have during this major turnaround game like this one but I guess I caught for a long time and if a guy hit one 20 feet over the fence but 2 feet foul I would call it a good pitch. If it was 2-0 and he missed his spot but he fooled the batter enough or had the batter thinking it was coming right down the pipe but was high and he swung and fouled it off/missed it, I called it a good pitch.
After all my gloomy posts as of late though, this is just the kind of comeback game we needed as long as Coco gets through this one that really may turn us around for the better. GREAT CATCH COREY

WEll being involved in sports as well and having a friend who is a pitcher.. its hard to believe how you cant understand.. a pitcher doesnt usually consider a pitch to be good if they throw it and terribely miss their spot. Now if the other person swings they dont usually sit there and say "wow that was a good pitch." what they usually do is shake it off and think they were lucky.. because they were..
Now you are right about it going foul and them missing their spot.. it is still a good pitch.. it worked out so of course it is good.. but just because it worked out and turned out to be a good pitch doesnt mean that the person throwing it considers it to be one..
My friend would call that luck.. it was good but it was luck.. if he missed his spot he would be pissed.. he considers a good pitch one that goes where it was suppose to and any other good if it works out, but also lucky.. that was all i was saying.. that isnt a stupid arguement.. what your saying makes sense.. guess I'm just reading into it more from a pitcher standpoint when you are as a catcher.
