Lopez is not a great defender but he does not play "No D." He averages over a block and a half a game. He is an ok defender.

In fact when he plays Bynum, Bynum only averages 7 points per game. So obviously he is doing something right.

We all know Lopez's rebounding is not the same caliber as Bynum. And that what makes Bynum better. But the point is besides rebounding Bynum is not better.

wow. i think i speak for the majority of the GB readers when i say that i hope this will be over ASAP if for no other reason than to stop you consistently posting nonsense.

as a Laker fan, though, i agree w/ DEEP -- and anyone who watched Bynum all year would agree. his problem is attitude, and if he could get that right, i wouldn't even want to give him up.

 Do it Morey! Put this thread out of its misery.

It just makes the most sense. If Orlando lands Bynum, unless they plan to trade him they just have a worse version of the team they had before, sans Anderson - with no assets to trade to build around Bynum. None. I don't get why they would want that despite Bynum's immense talent.

With Houston, if you trade Dwight and Turk for Martin, and a grab bag made up a few of Lamb, Torontos Pick, Parsons, MontejoijhARKH, Jones, White, First Rounders... Not only do you have a ton of assets, but you are in a perfect spot to both tank and get better fast.

If Orlando has that offer on the table and Houston is willing to take Dwight without an extension, I don't know what they're waiting for.

Peter Vecsey‏@PeterVecsey1
Comp 4 DH has been narrowed to Nets & "still lurking" Houston. W/Lakers evidently out of picture up to Nets to satisfy OM, I'm informed.

Peter Vecsey ‏@PeterVecsey1
Cleveland is being reported as an outpost for KH. That's not definite. Another team showing interest in him that would allow OM to get more

One thing is guaranteed: Lopez will sign a max 5-year deal (75M) no matter where he winds up, Brooklyn or Orlando

Anytime a Nets fan says anything positive about Lopez we get called homers.
Please tell me what Bynum does besides rebounding better than Lopez? His scoring is worse. His BPG are around the same. His ability to get to the FT line and FT% are worse. His health is a lot better overall.

The main difference is rebounding. If Lopez could ever be an 11 RPG guy (I'm not saying he is) he would probably be better than Bynum.

Just because two players have similar "scoring," some of you fail to recognize that Bynum has the ability to get deeper positioning than Lopez and has the more reliable/efficient post game. Defensively, is more of a force down low with better man to man defense and help defense. Not sure if Lopez would ever be capable of getting 10 blocks in a playoff game. Injuries is a wash, didn't Lopez just come off multiple injures this year? Bynum went through a full season and only missed games due to suspensions.

Good point.

After they trade Dwight to the Nets maybe the Magics will want to rent Bynum for the season.
Would Big Baby be enough?

Guys fill me in on why the Cavs would want Kris Humphries :O, preferably not from Shaheen's perspective.
