I also like how he's improved multiple aspects of his offensive game, from his dribble penetration to his 3 point shot to his mid-range game. He needs to work on his passing a little more but he's a serious offensive threat out there and guarding him must be very difficult.

See that's what my eyes say to me for the most part too (I wouldn't go quite that far on offense). But it's why I have such a hard time trying to process how with the exception of one year he's ALWAYS with a negative on/off.

As there have been a lot of Jaylen roles, rolepayer, stud player like now, lots of talent. Just... hard to figure out why it's so consistently saying he's not adding as much on the court as one would think he is.

I did a basic conversion of his shooting numbers where I applied his percentages from last year to this years attempts. He only drops to 25 ppg.

Want to update my post. I now believe 1st team all NBA for at least 5 years is a reasonable ceiling for him.

May not even get the credit he deserves due to Tatum's shine though.

I think Kobe's spirit has possessed Jalen Brown. I mean if you watch his recent video. They are near Identical.

He good.

The no wasted movement is a super underrated ability, and dude has it down.

I wouldn't trade Brown straight up for Beal right now.

It’s funny, because his new game actually reminds me of Beals.

But he’s younger, cheaper, and better defensively.

Seems like Kobe loves possessing our players. First it was Tatum, and now Brown. Having two Kobes in one team is awesome

Everyone was wondering if he could ever be a top 15-20 player in the league. Unless a significant injury happens that looks like a lock soon.

It’s going to have to take a lot of hard work but his goal moving forward should be a top 10 player in this league. I would’ve looked at you funny if you told me before the the season started that he may one day be a top 10 player but I can’t ignore his ridiculous improvements the last 2 seasons to not even consider it.

I am not sure what Age Beal is, But JB has to be the top 2 guard in the NBA 27 and under right now.

Brown > Booker because of defense. Offense, this year may end up better as well

The "trade Jaylen for a star" ship has sailed. Because A) he is a star and B) he's making and average of 26 million per year over the next 4 which is well below max level for a clear max level player.

I've been a firm supporter of Brown ever since the draft when he was the guy I wanted. Yet I think I may still have underestimated him. His scoring is just next level right now.

I always viewed Tatum as a Top 10 player with peak Top 5, and Jaylen as a top 25 player with peak top 15. But Jaylen very clearly works extremely hard and pairs that with special ability. I now have JB as a peak Top 10 player. Wow. Celtics are in good shape with these two. Gonna have two Top 10 guys for many years

Danny Ainge needs to start getting to work and surround Tatum and Brown with better talent these guys are it now and have clearly worked their ass off since the Kyrie disaster season. No need to wait to make moves, these 2 are very capable of being the 1-2 guy of winning a championship now imo at this age but the roster pieces need to be better.

Btw I’m taking Brown any day of the week over Ingram. The Ben Simmons discussion been over.

I've been extremely high on Brown as well ever since he was drafted, and I saw something in him during his first summer league that made me believe he was gonna be a star. I've always believed it would only be a matter of time until he became one.

But holy hell, I'm still surprised by what he's showing this season. It feels like he's swishing every jumpshot he takes. He's taking some sort of mini-leap this season, and it's a joy to watch.

Jaylen isn't even catching rim on these mid-range pull-ups against contests. Just nylon.

His skills have caught up with his athletic ability.

We've got a legit second star.
