My 3 trades that I would make

1) Fournier, Walker, Randle for Fox, Bagley and Thompson. Bagley and Thompson are expiring deals and we can clear Walker and Fournier's contracts off the books. Clear 25 million in capspace

2) Noel to Phoenix for McGee - Mcgee is an expiring deal. Clear 8 Milion in capspace

3) Burks to Dallas for Finney-Smith and Ntilkina - Smith and Ntilkina are expiring deals. Clear 9 million in capspace.

Overall, we would clear up 41 million in capspace. I would try to trade Rose and Taj but Thibs will push to keep them.

I don't believe so. I think Leon would try to figure out how he could get D'Arreon Fox without giving up RJ & Julius...which probably won't happen before next Thursday.

Plus, I think SAC will make a move to get a less expensive Sabonis who has 2 years left on his deal at $19M/per after this season. Julius' $26M/per kicks in next year, escalating for the next 3 years after next season. SAC has time to evaluate Sabonis before they commit big money.
Revolution starts in the mind...

Sticking with my prediction Randles going nowhere

Burks, Kemba, Fournier probably the most likely to get traded if the Knicks want to make a move

Imagine if instead of Julius it is Obi who gets traded instead in order to make Julius feel more secure of his position.

I could only imagine two teams trading for Julius right now and that would be Portland and Sacramento.

Portland Trade: something of Covington and Nance jr. + a Pick for Randle and fillers

Sacramento: Fox and fillers for Randle and Kemba

Every other teams ar either not stupid enough or desperate!

The Lakers would probably love to trade for him in some Westbrook trade. I think Minnesota and Denver would also be interested. The perimeter ability of Towns and Jokic would open up things for Randle. Both teams also have the necessary contracts (Russell, Gordon) to make it work. However , any Randle trade is probably a longshot.

Here’s a proposed Randle trade that you’ll hate. From B/R:

Knicks trade Randle to the Wizards for

Rui Hachimora
KCP (expires after 22-23)
Aaron Holiday (expires after this season)
Future unprotected FRP

if there aren't more than two teams interested in him, there are a lot of stupid teams. He can be the 3rd piece in a championship team.

Because we're really not getting any immediate help back and it clogs our backcourt even more. The FRP probably won't vest until like 2026.

I'm glad I could make your day! :D

Then we should be able to do it because the Wiz need someone to go with Beal. Seems like a no-brainer.

Unprotected pick from a team that will likely be in the lottery by 2026?

I'm in.

Everything else is gravy.

KCP can just be waived for next season and Holiday is a nothing player. Won't really clog up much at all.

Hachimura, if he still has any desire to play in the NBA, can be a decent big off the bench.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Okay, I'm sold.

We still need to get rid of Fournier, Burks, and Noel
