Seems notable that the Sacramento Bee picked up the Kuzma trade scenario as an alternative for Kuminga -- including a trip down memory lane about how close they were to getting him before the Lakers (insanely) pivoted to Westbrook instead of Buddy Hield:

He's always been a good defender, excellent wingspan, last 6 years shot at or above average 3p% which likely goes up playing with Giannis. Idk what you expect to get that's better than Wiggins for Kuzma and a 1st round pick 6 years out...

Even the more respected media sources like Zach Lowe are assuming the Bucks are desperate for backcourt help and will obviously take any of the veteran fossils spurned by fancier markets.
But with Doc emphasizing KPJ’s coming leap as well as his and Giannis’ ability to play PG, maybe not.
82 games is a very long time to get by with only 3 real ball handlers.
Doc says, "Nobody is pressuring Giannis."
They will. They will bring their 9th-11th guy in and have him hound Giannis and flop if he brings the ball up every time.
Yeah this is a good point. We're recycling the PG Giannis experiment that already failed and injured him... I'd rather let him trot inside slowly, get the ball to him and then he can see where the double is coming from a spot where he's already dangerous so there isn't barreling happening.
Doc might be completely useless

I don't know why you think we have to make the trade this offseason, and burn a probable top 10 pick, which is most of our last trade ammo, on a non 2nd option. If we can't get that now, maybe then it'd behoove us to wait for a better spot, like the trade deadline, to act.

We weren't terrible a failure last year.. we beat the Champs in a big game they wanted to win in Vegas and the series we lost was to the runners up that likely win without the Hali injury. Plus, we might have beat them without the late year/playoff Dame injuries

Kuz didn't even have a full year with a consistent lineup around him to get used to how we play. That mf is better than rlgm thinks. If he put in a real offseason of work the league is F'd.. if he's smoking weed and playing video games then we are lol hmmm

Is this legit? I thought I saw someone mention Porter is 0 now? I haven’t seen any sort of official announcement yet about either.

I do sometimes think how stoked we'd all be if I time traveled back to 2017 and told you we had Laker all-rookie team Kuzma on our squad.

Somebody is smoking weed, and I don't think it's Kuz.

Porter takes Dame's starting spot and then his number. It's a brutal business.

idk why this board is underselling Wiggins. He is a legitimate player. Can score all 3 levels, defend at a very high level and he's got championship experience. What else are we getting for Kuzma and a 1st? No one better exists. Idgaf about giving up the pick, some of you are still stuck in Pre Turner and Pre bringing everyone back mode. We are literally 1 guy away from being able to win the East next year. I'd trade every single future pick as soon as it's available if it means competing now with Giannis.

Lot of angry Pacer fans in the world right now. Be careful out there.

Agreed. I’m not giving up the first for Quickley, RJ Barrett, Wiggins, Kuminga, etc. This has to be a higher caliber guy and likely younger.

So much this.Serge28 wrote:I really, really, really don't want to keep watching Kuzma in a Bucks uniform. Would be so nice to swap him this summer, for pretty much anything, as long as we don't include any first rounders.
The guy is the definition of a bucket of ass.
His playoff minutes were shocking. I fervently believe that the Bucks would have been better off if they had given his min to a good D2 player. I've never seen anything like it. Still don't fully understand it. He was that bad.

People need to remember that Wiggins is only available because he has wigged out and/or dogged it a lot the past few years. He’s Tim Thomas. If you get him even up, great. Add value to the deal and we’re going to regret it.

Giving up the ‘31 1st for Wiggins would be **** lunacy.

The holdup is that we could wait and package 31, 32 swap, 33 and even 26 1st on draft day and potentially make a big swing.
Sending out one of those assets for a guy like Wiggins would limit that potential.
