The Blazer fan in me would hate to see Denver trade Melo to the Knicks because it would mean that we have no shot at Harris. However the NBA fan in me would love seeing him sent to the Knicks because it would be the first NBA trade made purely out of spite, and that would be awesome.

Not sure what players the Knicks have offered but Chandler & Fields are pretty good and that's hard for me to admit. I can understand if they arent interested in Gallinari, Douglas and Randolph though

Chandler is a good player, and really the only good player the Knicks would possibly offer. But the problem is, he is about to be a free agent. Not only that, but he is looking for a deal in the range of 5 years and 60 million dollars(reportedly). So while the Nuggets probably wouldn't mind taking him, it becomes pointless if he isn't going to be there longer than two months(Denver would not give him that kind of money long term).

Fields is a decent role player, but hardly enough incentive, and Denver already has Afflalo who I'm pretty sure they like a lot more. After that it comes back to Gallo, Douglas, Randolph...whom they apparently don't value at all(and who can blame them?).

So basically, any trade with the Knicks would involve a group of players who wouldn't fit into Denver's long term plans, obviously no draft picks, and no real cap relief to boot. To me it's painfully obvious why Denver isn't interested in dealing with NY, and it has nothing to do with anything personal or whatever other conspiracy theories Knicks fans have.

Not very smart of the Nuggets' front office to threaten a Russian. Prokhorov is calling his mob to get involved anytime now.

And no one wants Al freakin Harrington at 4 years/$28mil.

This can't really be Denvers GM holding this up... this is like the best deal he could possibly get.

It has to be Carmelo not giving the 'OK'... thats the most reasonable explanation.

Seriously, this Melo soup opera is really annoying.

You guys complain about all Lebron's stuff that happened in the summer, but it's worse by far IMO
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”

I feel for you. I wish I had to worry about my team stealing a superstar

Yeah, gutting your team's future and cap space for years is ''stealing'' a superstar (Which 'Melo isn't by the way).

Yup. Lot of Knicks fans have been saying this for a while. He's blatantly turning down the Nets time and time again. Sooner or later, the Nuggets will cave in and send him to NY.

Denver is going to try and make it look like the Knicks are the best trading partner. They dont want to look like they are getting screwed over. Why else make a threat? If they chose the Knicks over the Nets, its because they think the Knicks have a better package (Well at least thats what they would sell to the media and their fans).

Or they could threaten to not trade him at all, not take on your garbage, and make him realize how much money he will actually lose, forcing him to go to the Nets. Sorry, you don't win here.

LOL ok. Denver has already proved that making threats is the only card they hold which clearly hasn't phased Melo. If it mattered to him at all, he'd be a Net by now. Just remember how arrogant you were when it finally all goes down.

This is what happens when you have a guy in charge who doesn't know what he's doing. Denvers GM looks like a punk. Let's see how far his hollowed threats get him. LMAO.

Knicks are NOT GIVING Chandler, Fields AND Gallo....its ONE OF THE 3, along with Randolph, Azabukie (3 million expiring insured contract), Curry (expiring PAID 11 million contract).....

Let him go to NJ if they want more than 2 of our main 3 rotation guys.....

And as a Knick fan who had the pleasure of watching far to much of Al Harrington, having that scrub in the deal is a deal breaker
Move Randle and we are chip ready !
