Probably premature to say but I think Barnes will be better then Gallo within a couple of years.

Just seems like a more crafty/intelligent player whereas Danillo is a sharpshooter that hustles.

I think Val, Bargs, and JJ (if he continues to improve his jumper) we have a pretty good front court of the future. Jeremy Lamb would be a great 2 guard for that group and I think he would thrive under Casey.

Now if we could just figure out what to do with our PG situation . . .

There's no way I put JJ as a starting SF moving forward in our rebuild especially if we have Lamb...as the simple solution would seem to be to trade DeMar and/or Davis to get an upgrade in a draft loaded with SFs.

Always said though that I wouldn't mind keeping JJ as a solid backup.

Again if Raps end up with 1 or 2 this year.. they take either Anthony Davis or Drummand whoever is available and trade Bargnani or Val for established wing player.

I wish Melo posted like he used to do, he was maybe the best post-up 3 in the league IMO. His reliance on his face-up game is what turned me off, really. But the thing with Melo's jab-step is, it's effective because he can get by you. I'm thinking Barnes can't and will be played to shoot in the NBA but I could be wrong.

I think he could be a really good off-ball player, though, and that his brain and stroke could get him far. I loved the play they ran last night with the side-entry to Henson and the pass to a diving Barnes for the flush.

Barnes and Melo have similar jabstep but they utilize it in different spot. Idk if anyone notice, most of the time Melo does his jab-step near the baseline area, shotfake and then power his way to the rim using 1 or 2 steps to draw for contact or go for and 1, for barnes he usually catches and start his jabstep at the left or right wing, then go for shotfake, and take a 1 step pull up jumper or drive to the hop. Melo doesn't jab much from the left or right wing anymore he usually iso at the wings now, and for Barnes, he hardly ever get to iso near baseline lol.

What I'm saying they have different style of play, Melo is a really good ballhandler, he iso alot and his game is more of a power small forward type and he's much more creative when he goes to the hoop, but I think Barnes has a better shooting stroke overall (though melo's midrange via jabstep is money)..., the jabsteps are the only closest things they have in common but everywhere else is completely different.

I prefer poor man's Paul Pierce comparison, he too jabstep from the wings, takes his 3 point range at the wings, and jabstep from the wing to take the ball to the hop. I'm talking about the style of play right now, not comparing their athleticism/ball-handling (clearly Pierce is way better). Also one thing I find about Barnes is that he's starting to utilize the p&r more now, and you see improvement there, he uses the pick alot more and drive at times from it without turning the ball over. Look at Pierce's mastery over p&r, he uses it to help create space to shoot or take it to the hole. This is why I hope Barnes can master his triple-threat/jabstep/p&r play because Pierce makes a living from those moves.

I can't see how Raptors can end the season lower than WAS - SAC - NOH - CHA - DET . Bargnani is back in after allstar with plenty Home games.

IMO TOR will pick around 6 to 8. Drummond,Gilchrist,Barnes,Davis will be all done .

IMO BC is hoping to sell the 6th pick to get 2 lower picks. He will look for a SG and PG .Around 9th-10th (Bradley Bale) and around 18th-20th(Marquis Teague)

Well hes not back it seems.

I see 7th as our absolute lowest (highest?) point unless all three top 3 picks are filled by lucky late lottery teams.

Teague for me would be a complete waste...he's basically a clueless version of his older brother. Take a look at Jeff's stats and you'll see he's not producing better then Jose; so what's the point?!?

If I'm taking a gamble on a PG from this draft with anything in the 1st rd it would be Wroten then Kabongo.

It'll take some hard work and dedication but we can out-tank SAC and DET...it won't be easy though. With New Orleans shutting down half their roster, I'd say their a lock for a Top 3 pick barring movement in the lottery. WAS and CHA are looking like locks for #1 and #2 as well.

If we can create some distance between us, SAC and DET, then you can count us in the Top 5. I've said this before but if I'm BC, I'm looking very hard at offering Barbosa + Ed Davis for Okafor + Minny's 1st. I think they'd do it but will BC? Who really knows? Anyways, Barbosa needs to be moved desperately. If the NO deal doesn't work, then I'm smokescreening everyone into believing that I'm re-signing Barbosa and then dealing him to the Lakers a.s.a.p. Their offense looks like a mess lately and could use a vet bench bunch like Barbosa.

Either way, BC has no excuse for not getting another pick this year. We have assets to get it done. Cap space, young players, exipirings, all our future picks. There's no excuses this time around.

Well he can really shoot it well but that's about it.

I'd say Eric Gordon is spot on. He may even end up being slightly better because of his rebounding but I think they're more or less the same player. Which is great. Would definitely be a cornerstone for us.

I'm not getting locked into one player this year. We always get too dissapointed when we don't get him.

If we can get one of Barnes, Lamb or PJ3 I'd be fine.

Texas/Baylor should be good for scouting the next two drafts. Would love to see Quincy have another good game and for PJ3 to have one with him, Baylor seems to be adjusting their usage and giving Quincy the ball more and I think it's a great move.

Kentucky in SD only on Rogers again, so dumb.

Will watch a bit more of Robinson/Kansas but I think he's more of a college hero.

How has Rivers looked today? I saw that he had 5 total assists and 10 turnovers in his last 5 games. I guess you don't turn it over if you don't pass.
