I'm starting to think that Jazz fans overrate their players more than any other team fans. Hayward for #3/Bradley, Lyles for #4 (which Jazz fans think we need to add more to that deal). You'd think if their team has that many valuable players they'd be a contender not on the outside of the playoffs.

That's kind of strange because I thought Hayward would be a GREAT get for Boston for the 3rd pick. I think if you knew you were getting a player like Hayward at 3, most teams would opt that over who else is there. That is just one fan though and i don't think most Utah fans would want to trade Hayward. I wouldn't want to trade Lyles for the 4 either if I was them. No need and he has been solid. I mean I don't think most here would trade Booker for the 4th (if we didn't have a pick for example) and Lyles was taken before Booker and as shot a bit better from 3 (38% to 34% on half the volume) which is impressive for a big. I'd probably take Lyles at 4 if he was in this draft and Bender was gone. Lyles just seems high iq and fundamentally sound.

This is interesting. I've been suspecting Boston has a standing offer of Okafor for 3 and guessing Chicago might have told them to hold off for now if they'd consider a deal involving Butler instead. But I think the hold up right now might be to see if Cleveland makes Love available and if that would change team perspectives into who they want most. I wonder if Bender will still work out for them Thursday.

Yeah except Hayward can opt out after this year and will likely command the max. If I was Boston I'd keep the pick and wait til next offseason to try and get Hayward.

if Wolves are building a package around 5, McD is surely building a package around 4, and Ainge around 3

That's true. I had forgotten about that, and they probably have a good chance considering Stevens coached Hayward to two straight NCAA finals in college.

Yes, probably. Butler would probably love to go to Minny since it's obvious he loves playing for Thibs. I imagine Minnesota could trump our offer with their young assets, unless the Bulls coveted Len. I'm guessing Minny would throw Dieng in there though, who is better.

Sources told ESPN.com that the Wolves, in these early days of the Tom Thibodeau era, have made it known to the Bulls that they are strongly interested in dealing for Butler should Chicago elect to make him available.

The Bulls are not believed to be actively looking to move their All-Star swingman ‎but have been listening to pitches for Butler, sources said. Butler initially rose to prominence as a two-way force playing for Thibodeau, the Wolves' new coach and president.

Sources say that the Bulls naturally would demand a significant amount in return to part with Butler, which likely translates to at least one front-line player in addition to a top lottery pick this month.

The Boston Celtics, who hold the No. 3 overall pick, are also known to have trade interest in Butler, while sources say that the Bulls are highly intrigued by Providence guard Kris Dunn, who is projected to be selected in the 3-to-5 range in the June 23 draft.

The No. 5 pick alone clearly wouldn't be sufficient to pry Butler from the Bulls, but Minnesota's own cache of trade assets -- given the various up-and-coming players on its roster -- would theoretically enable the Wolves to either deal with Chicago directly or assemble a multiteam trade scenario.

Signals from the Bulls and their Butler intentions, meanwhile, have been mixed. The club asked Butler to represent it on the dais at the May 17 draft lottery, but Bulls general manager Gar Forman -- after Chicago missed the playoffs -- did say shortly after the regular season ended that "we have to explore all options" when directly asked about Butler's future as a franchise cornerstone.

I can see a Zach LaVine + Pick 5 for Butler...

Damn... Wolves making moves sooner than later.

Knight, #4, #13 OR Miami 2018 1st,
Len OR Warren

McD will outbid Minny if Butler can be had. Book it.

Probably LaVine, Dieng and #5. Chicago reporter reporting they have said they wanted 5 and Wiggins.

As an outsider, I'm very curious if there's any rumors in regards to what Pho plans to do with Tucker?

Well Thibs may have trump anyone only because he has personally coached him and is attached to him. I wouldn't be surprised if Minny overpaid for him.

No...many fans here want him gone but he is kind of like the coach/GM favorite and heart of the team in some respects. I'd say they are either going to try and get him to stick around long term if he wants (but I imagine his role in that case would be drastically reduced), or they will try to deal him at the deadline for something worthwhile if they can.

Haven't heard anything but I wouldn't be surprised if he's kept on. He's on a pretty good deal with the rising cap and we're not exactly stacked in that position with only him and TJ manning the 3 spot. I do think he could easily be had if a deal is put on the table and he's needed to make salaries match etc
