All those guys sucked and I think Tacko will also....gladly admit I’m wrong If I am

Why would you say that Tacko sucks?
All the other guys, Yes. But Tacko Fall? -- He's shown himself to be somewhat useful.

I think with the right training, he could be a decent Bench player.

For the 14-15th spot, i think Tacko is worth developing. We can throw him in there just to bother shots. Maybe in a year or two he can be useful. I’d sign him ahead of Waters, who won’t get any playing time here anyways.

I just don’t think he’ll be a player in the nba against real players. I get alarmed at his lack of rebounding and physicality for his size. His mobility was better than I thought but again against real players in the league I don’t see him being anything and I’d love to be wrong.

Amazing how Ainge didn't even give the Kawhi-PG Clippers press conference thing a day in the media cycle before the Celtics announced the signing of our Big 4.

Spoiler:

Decided against putting Javonte and Strus's mugs in place of the two balls. Too creepy.

As a Deep Bench player, I don't think we can go wrong.
10 mins of play, is all he needs to do.

It does seem that Tacko gets the impression he has a shot at getting that 15th spot. REACH NEW HEIGHTS, MY FRIEND!

I don't think rebounding and physicality is what you want him for, mainly - it's his intimidation/alteration factor on shots in the paint that I think is his main NBA value.

Without a stretch big to force him out of the middle, he is extremely destructive to at-rim offense for opponents.

Sure you want him to clean the defensive glass better and seal guys to optimize his impact, but he has value if he can disrupt an offense to that degree.

I somehow missed this, but it's such a sweet gesture by Wyc and co. to purchase the Red Claws so Tacko can be truly part of the Celtics organization.

SmartWentCrazy wrote:Hot take: both Tacko and Green make the team. I bet we trade Semi for a future 2. We need guys that are content not playing/being in Portland.

I’ll co-sign that take. Semi isn’t going to be happy sitting another year, and I don’t see time for him unless all the rookies bust. Only question is if they pull the trigger before having to go to 15, or if they ride the first few months with Semi. Not sure Green is a guy that forces you to make a decision, but seems capable if a trade develops. If not waive him and see where you are later.

I like this offseason work.
Besides the FIBA World Cup, I'd like to see some In-Game Training.

If you guys haven't listened to the Michael Holley podcast with Jackie Mac, do yourself a favor and get on it! Such a great listen. Main things I remember Jackie saying...

- Cs were working up to the "11th hour" to bring back Horf, but said the 6ers offer was too good to refuse. Him and his agent were surprised and didn't think they had that kinda offer waiting for them. Had to take it. Said his family seemed to really like Boston, though.

- Kyrie was frustrated with everyone, even Brad And Danny. Not sure why he was frustrated with Danny. Also said the Hayward injury really bummed Kyrie out.

- Said Kyrie had great work ethic, but didn't understand team success. Said she thinks his style is to play team ball until the end of the game and then just take all the shots himself. Seemed to insinuate shes not sure how he is going to fare in Brooklyn with this kind of attitude, or if he's ever going to change.

- Kyrie tried being a leader, but didn't know what he was doing. Tried different approaches. Young guys didn't respond.

- Said Jaylen is... unpredictable? An enigma? Confusing?.I forgot the word she used, but specifically pointed to Morris as being annoyed with jb at times. Didn't say it in a way that he was a lr problem at all, though. Said hes a smart kid who really picked up his game in the 2nd half of the year. Thought he was 2nd best player behind Horf down the stretch.

- Young guys resented Haywards minutes. She said she thinks he's earned the right to work back into form; the kids didn't.

- Thinks Tatum had a down year, but also thinks he's as close to untouchable as you can get on the team. Didn't say that about Jaylen, but had high praise for him. Said he has the potential to be the better 2 way wing.

That's all I can remember. Some stuff we already knew, but just reaffirming. Regardless, give it a listen!!

Tacko can play in Maine as G leaguer which means other teams can grab him. He is so far away from being NBA player this is best. Max and Waters will play with him. Green - the SL best player not named Carsen or Grant - is 15th player for now.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

He doesn’t seal guys tho...he gets pushed around and doesn’t reboun....

let me be more specific- I understand the reason the Celtics keep him around and the low risk high reward..... I don’t get why that on everything I go to that is c’s related people think that if he’s not the 15th guy the Celtics are letting the next great player go for nothing.

you are missing the joke. Prokorov, the worst poster in Nets history feels he has to post on the Celtics forum because nobody does on the Nets one. He has proclaimed the nets as having a 50 win floor THIS season.

That guy is the worst....forget what he feels about kyrie, he talks straight out of his ass I remember during free agency he was suggesting for us how to build our roster and it was ass water trash the people he had us getting.

The he blames horford leaving on Tatum and Jaylen. Just one of the worst on here with his takes and that’s saying a lot
