Orlando is bad but not horrible at its own TOs. It is appallingly bad at forcing TOs. The net is that Orlando has the leagues worst TO differential at +5.5 per game.

This is not a roster that can afford to spot the opponent team near 6 offensive possessions. That right there equates to spotting nearly 10 ppg. Orlando needs to force more TOs, as this roster will continue to have a high TO rate, and there is little to work on there (it is a consequence of having two very young guards lead the team).

Biggest complaint about Clifford was that team is playing sloooooooooooooow.
Now, without Clifford, we plays slower. Actually this is slowest paced Magic team since 2016-17.

Starting lineup is playing crazy well together.. the rest not so much but at least there's some bright spots.

This is the hope. When the Magic get back their missing 6 Magicians, there will be actual bench depth and the Magic can then actually be a competitive basketball team.

Watching Ross play 1 on 5 in bench play is embarrassing for everyone. I want Carter-Williams back: now!
(and I cannot believe I am typing those words).

Seriously though, Harris' return should help out the Magic bench quite significantly.

Wait at least 10 games before watching stats.

Magic starting 5 played grand total of 0,00 min in 4th quaters in 2021-22 season.
Rolo, Ross, both Wagners and Suggs played started that Knicks 4th quater comeback so their net rating today is +157.

There simply whole bunch of misleading data once you start to watch sample size of 4 games. There is BUNCH of 0 min played together + or - 300 net rating things going on. Literally guy goes in, somebody makes 3, other guy goes out. Beep. + or - 300 net rating.

leave nba tracking until December

Good point...I think we've only had one meaningful 4th quarter in 4 games...the others were junk time, so that stat is way skewed

That's interesting but I guess not surprising. Our starting PG is out, Cole has played point and we know that is not his strength by far, also have a rookie in Suggs handling. I felt when Cliff was here, and also know that this is due to us not having the personnel for it.

I think this is another casualty of our crappy rebounding. Hard to focus on transition when you need everyone to focus on getting boards. Plus it also comes from guards with vision and wings and bigs who can run. Look at Charlotte - LeMello and Bridges, etc look to go go go.....

Even if we do secure the rebound, the ball just sits there, or the bigs will turn all the way around and make the safest pass possible to a guard. Pretty annoying.

Pace is also probably affected by guys over-sharing the ball too much the first couple of games. Now that coach Mosley has told them to shoot open shots, the pace seems reasonable to me. An offense with movement (when they remember to do it) looks less slow anyway.

The Magic starters continue to play well and the bench is stinky-smelly BAD.

When Isaac and Fultz return, given how well the starters are playing together, I think the might be bench players for a couple games till the get their sea-legs back, so to say.

But man: Orlando needs more bench talent - NOW.

I think we should run a bench platoon of Okeke Isaac and Fultz. Add one of Cole/Jalen and Mo/WCJ

I don't know how many of you visit the Coronavirus topic on the Current affairs board but I saw that the OSHA vaccine mandate/ testing mandate is supposed to be made public next week and it should be published into the federal register to make it official.

They are saying that if any employee refuses the vaccine, the employee must pay for the testing/masks unless they get a medical or religious exemption than the employer must pay for their tests/masks.

I think we are looking at
Fultz, Harris, Franz, Isaac, Carter as starters
Anthony, Suggs, Ross, Okeke, Bamba rotation
MCW, RJ, Moore, Rolo deep bench
We are missing 3 of our main rotation right now. They should bring balance and hopefully guys can settle into roles.

The rotation last night shows how silly the situation is. We’re starting two point guards, and the first two players off the bench are shooting guards. I get that the starting lineup is doing great, but no amount of staggering minutes can fix that.

Raptors game will be fun. Magic playing 2 centers in SL, Raptors hardly have any on whole roster. Their tallest player is 6'9.

The SL is fine, but we have no size after that.

Barnes, Achiuwa, Boucher, Birch... all of them are 6'9 or smaller.
Boucher had very nice year last season, over span of 5 games so far, he is unplayable.

We get so small after our SL, those 6'9" players kill us. We sometimes have Suggs or RJ guarding small forwards.
