I disagree, there's several coaches who think outside the box that would have us a lot better off. There's no doubt in my mind someone like Tyronn Lue would have us playing smaller and faster to help the offense, the fact we almost never play small is an indictment of Thibs and his coaching style. Almost every team in the league has a smallball lineup they go to, except us.

Agree that i would love to see us playsmaller. But not sure how much better we would be given the roster. We don't really have the horses to play/smaller faster and be a good team. It would be more entertaining at times. Just lack the roster and talent to do that and be a good team. Especially with the injuries...no pgs, and not enough quality wings

We had all it takes. Still like the look:

Obi
Mitch

If your bad offence helps the shooting slumps and doesn't help anyone else improve then what?

Then there's the other side, that the teams two key players regressed under his watch

Maybe that’s on the players?

When they overachieve it's because of the coach. When they underachieve...well... that's on them. Everybody knows that! Yeesh.

Well, there’s been a lock of cohesion on the offense because our key players are wildly inconsistent and our best player has looked completely clueless in some games. What’s the solution you’d like to see Thibs implement?

There's no solution that leads to winning. We don't have a top 50 player on the roster. So the solution is, admit what everyone knows and say, we tried, but we're leaning in to player development and seeing what these young guys can do if they play and play hard every night. We'll look to trade these veterans to competitive situations. The End.

Then he trots out:

pg - iq
sg - grimes
sf - rj
pf - obi
c - mitch

deuce
burks
sims
knox
taj token minutes

Edit: we're screwed into keep Rose since he won't be back until after the deadline. Sucks because healthy he would net a first rounder to a contender, he was playing really well before the ankle. So let Rose get some time after he returns also.

Randle -> Horford salary dump
Kemba -> any matching dead money would be amazing
Fournier -> trade Knox or maybe attach a 1st to get rid of him
Noel -> hope he retires to become a poet or something

There's another factor. (NOT the only factor!)

It has become hugely expensive for an average fan to attend games, especially if he or she is paying for family members. They ticket prices for good seats are in the stratosphere, so it helps to make many of us feel disconnected. Not that tickets were ever cheap, but I wonder how the average ticket prices compare to the average income now vs. 20 or 30 years ago.
