NY will probably come back with Melo, Ridnour and Ely.....I bet Donnie does not give up Wilson, Gallo or Fields in this deal. Denver does not like any of those guys, so they would rather get their hands on Brewer (who is pretty damn good, but wasting away in Minny)

I bet Donnie sends Curry, Randolph, Mason and Walker to Minny. Denver will get Turiaf, Brewer, Azuibuke and a Minnesota 1st rounder and 2014 1st rounder from NY plus cash.

NY will get Melo, Ridnour and Ely

It really is great to hear this type of thing, despite whether it's 100% true, at this juncture... If we can do something remotely similar to what was said it would be huge.... I think it's a given that random throw ins will be added to the trade Brou-tard tweeted; like Walker, perhaps Azu, maybe Tony D.. but so long as we hold onto Gallo Fields and Mozzy, things will be good.

I'm not sure I see Denver holding out this long and then bring the fans Brewer, and the guy who is on record saying he doesn't want to go to Denver, Chandler.. and a pick... Yeah they'll save a bunch of money, but i'm not sure that'd be enough

This deal makes the most sense to me if only chandler is the major piece going out. Minny gets douglas on his rookie deal, AR, Mason as cap filler. I dont think they'd view ridnour higher than douglas because of his contract.

The knicks take back AL and send walker. AL would suck to have but He'd be amazing off the bench. this gives both minny and denver long term savings.

NY Lineup:
Felton
Fields
Gallo
Melo
Amare

Bench: AL, Mozgov, Turiaf, Williams, RIdnour

the only thing really lacking would be a true sg, which we have seemed to function without all season.

I dont understand how Denver can give up Carmelo (17 mil) and only take back Chandler (2 mil) and Brewer (4 mil) in the deal that is being reported. Wouldnt Denver have to take back Curry to make it work under that salary cap rules or does Denver have a trade exception?

they'd receive a tpe from sending out more than what they take in. Salary cap rules states that you cannot take back more than 125% coming in, but you can trade out more and get a tpe as a result. so they receive money and leverage via the tpe.
