Would a combination of Julius Randle, Kevin Knox, Dennis Smith, 2020 first round pick and 2021 first round pick be enough to get Bradley Beal?

At least they’d stretch the floor. Ibaka could play next to Mitch in theory and Gasol could be the backup C. Maybe they are serious about removing Randle from the equation? :dontknow:

Well at least these guys have been on top teams that know how to win (unlike the jamokes that Mills signed last offseason).

Forget Beal, Ingram should be the focus. Secondary focus should be bertans and Harris

This is such a Knicks move. Why not just draft the players and stink for one more year and get another high draft pick. Just once lets rebuild. I'm all for Ingram if he was available but its doubtful I would even consider Christian Wood. But older players at the end of there careers that are going to steal minutes from the kids developing are the last thing we need.

i'm a big beal fan, but what's the point of going for a guy who's entering their prime, when the knicks should be in full rebuild mode? especially to sacrifice the FRPs.

that being said, any chance to remove those 3 players is fine. now if it was the dallas picks, i'd jump on that.

Gasol and Ibaka are basically Eisley and Shandon Anderson, but in 2020
BAF Pacers

D. Mitchell/ J. Richardson/S. Merrill
Luka/Melo

i like those guys, and think they'd be helpful veterans. problem is that gasol will probably continue ring chasing (not sure if he's a guy looking for the most money or not).

and ibaka clearly still has a bunch left in the tank (i had him in fantasy this past season).

they'd eat into the young guys, which should be the priority right now. gasol would have to know, coming in, that he's there to mentor and help, not steal minutes from mitch. unless mitch gets too arrogant, then gasol can put his ass in his place - mitch wasn't the same player compared to his rookie year.

I agree, throw all the money at Ingram. Then have a plan B if the Pelicans match

Just you wait. We ARE going to trade for Chris Paul too (not that I want Paul, but come on who are we kidding this is reality and we are Knicks fans).

Randle, Bobby Portis, Smith Jr, and Clippers 2020 First Round Pick for Chris Paul.

I wouldn't doubt this happening. I am cringing thinking about it.

I hate that they are just setting us up for 1 year in the playoffs, and another 8 drafting in the top 5.

If we made this move for Paul, Vassell SHOULD be our pick top 10 no question. Vassell and Barrett is a really enticing Wing Combo to me.

I absolutely agree. But... where do you predict this team

Lamelo
RJ
Who knows
Ibaka
Gasol

Understand if Gasol coming here hes starting over Mitch.

All this does is maybe get us the 8th seed. We are better stinking again next year. Going after big free agents and role players together.

But not one peep about Gasol wearing #33 there.

We should keep a keen eye on what Miami does with Duncan Robinson.

Nearly 10 years too late with Gasol. Ibaka actually makes a bit of sense.

Gasol would become Willy Hernangomez in NY

We need a top notch scouting/development department like the Miami Heat. I mean, every year we're always trying to steal young talents from other teams cause we can't develop our own or find steals. Sigh. Maybe with Walt Perrin here we start to see some changes

Seriously. I mean, a lot of teams could have but we could have Popped the Kork last summer and we needed him more than most. 4/12 mil likely would have gotten it done considering what he went for. Korkmaz next to Frank and Barrett could make a lot of sense.

But Riles is magic. Always was. He can smell a guy that will work harder than others from miles away and pounces. Back to when he grabbed Anthony Mason from the scrap heap for the Knicks.
