Realistically he should be a very good backup PG for you guys

He's probably going to be our starter AND first PG off the bench :)
Our depth is that bad

Yes, I had the pleasure of having Ulis on my fantasy team so I know how much help you guys need.

Elfrid is an elite finisher around the basket and good slasher but doesn't have many other skills. Wishing him good luck on his new team

YOU DID WHAT??

As far as shooting goes, check this out... http://bkref.com/tiny/VVNr8

TS% pretty good

Nice backcourt...over 11 apg.

That is better than I expected. Granted he's not a high volume guy but there is something to be said about a guy not shooting shots he can't make.

I'm cool with this move. So sick of watching undersized PG's get **** bullied out there.

For how much we got him for and the fact that he isn't 5'3, that's already a win. Now let's see what we can do about that hair

And its Memphises 2nd rounder at that!

Howard said it may be Phoenix’s own 2nd?

I would have been happy just standing pat, but I don't mind kicking the tires on Elf for a second rounder that we got for free. I'm a little worried he could lead us to unnecessary wins, but I'm pretty confident that we'll still end up in the top 5 with Memphis keeping Evans, Bulls keeping Lopez, and our tough remaining schedule.

We'll just lose by 10-20 instead of 48.

I saw that. The media screwed up the wording. Its the pick that we would receive from Memphis, which is the 2nd least favorable, which is currently the Hornets pick at #41.

Wow his TS% is a lot better than I expected.

That FT hooting is horrific though, I hope Booker gives him a few pointers there.

The Suns now perhaps notable beyond their multiple 40+ point blowouts?

I'd expect a little less on defense but probably a bit more on offense than you'd expect with Elfrid right now.. at least if he has the ball in his hands quite a bit.

He just really has trouble navigating certain screens. Otherwise, he can stick in front of his man and can be good on switches with his size.

He used to be really handsy with guards (like Beverley) but his rookie/2nd year he would constantly be called for fouls and have to sit early, so maybe that's why he stopped doing it as much.

Yeah, but we won't be playing the Spurs on 4 days of rest, without Chandler or Booker, while we're on a back to back every night lol. I'm sure we'll be fine, but I wouldn't underestimate how big of an improvement Payton is over Ulis, who probably would have his troubles as a starter in the G-League.

I know it was kinda joke :D I am really happy with the trade. I think we'll look much better.

I think Canaan was a better fit than Payton.
