I would be celebrating the championship if I was a Raptors fan. I wouldn't think about Kawhi right now. And there have been way more pathetic threads on RealGM than this.

No this is for sure the most pathetic thread on the forum. A 40+ page detailed he said she said totally speculative with no facts I hope this one specific guy comes to our team thread. Like could you imagine if he doesn’t come to the clippers the wasted hours of posting of videos and discussion over something that was probably blown out of proportion a long time ago

Oh, our draft thread when we don't even pick until #87 is much more pathetic.

But Kawhi still hasn't made up his mind even after winning the Larry. I do believe that if this shot fell out instead of in--on the 4th bounce--

and the Sixers had won in OT, this conversation isn't even happening because it's 10-1 the next uni Kawhi wears is the Clippers'. So no, this was not pathetic...and still isn't. Kawhi could have closed this door long, long ago but he didn't.

The Clippers' door remains open---from both sides.

But I agree with Mr. Galloisdaman and Mr. Box Office that you Raptors fans have been kinda cheated out of really enjoying this title. Look at you, bruh--you're here dogging us on the Clippers board. That's the real tragedy here.

Not here to troll..just to discuss Kawhi fee agency.
First, I do believe he will play for Clippers in his NBA career, i would say 4-6 seasons at least.
However, I honestly think he will for the next year or two stay in Toronto, it just makes most sense from all angles that Kawhi claims are the most important for him

1.Health
Raptors medical stuff proved they will take care about his health no matter what. Raptors can afford to play him 55-60games a season and still finish anywhere 1-4 in the east. Clippers with their roster just cant do that, even if you add another star player still cant do that in the west, lets be honest here. He wants to have long NBA career and even with load management this season he played injured in the play offs..He needs another 1-2 of load management in order to play well when he is in his 30es (with the Clippers)

2. MONEY
By signing 2+1 or 1+1 with Toronto in about two years Kawhi will be 10yrs veteran in the league and at that point still at 29/30yrs of age so younger than KD as of today!, at that time he can sign supermax with Clippers and get his 200mill or whatever the number is.

3.CHAMPIONSHIPS
Lets look at the East providing Kawhi resigns short term (to be fair I would be surprised he goes for 5yrs/191mill). Raptors will have the same team plus OG Annouby if they get Green as well, they can only lose him. Sixers have two big star FA in Harris and Butler, Bucks as well in Brogdon Middleton..Celtics not getting AD might lose Kyrie..with KD sidelined..East is open for the Raptors to take next year maybe next two. West is wide open but loaded. GsW are out this season but thee are another 8 teams not counting Clippers who can claim they have as good or better roster. Houston..Denver..Portland..OKC..Lakers (Now)..Fully Healthy Spurs..Utahh..Incoming Mavericks..why would Kawhi go to this blood bath NOW and risk injury playing 70-75games in order to position clippers into top 4.
He can keep his load management in Toronto and way more easily reach East finals or NbA finals and then in a year or two move to LAC.

4.TIMING
In two years west will slowly bit surely be for grabs and thats the time when Kawhi should move to LAC and take you guys to the promised land. We will keep him healthy for you, you can bet on that:)! In two years LBJ will be like 37..KD and Thompson coming from injuries and 2yrs older will not be the same..Harden will be older Westbrook George..Lillard..you name it..only Denver has really young team.

This is my reasoning. if Kawhi joins you in a few weeks, great for you guys..he will always be welcomed in Toronto and will get standing ovation I am positive..each time LAC visit.
But if I am right..you guys relax..keep developing young talent..even if you miss play offs might get really high draft pic..and soon enough Kawhi will come..you have bright future, I hope not immediately bright:):)

P.s.Weather is really not that of a factor when you are winning, NewYork has way harsher winters in the last decades..more Atlantic snow storms,,more y cold too..yet nobody mention it. And he can move his family to Toronto for a year or two, it would be fun and safe for the kids:)
Cheers

lol if speculating about things that won't happen is pathetic, you might as well close the whole of RealGM. There's been enough credible reporting of Kawhi being interested in coming to the Clippers for the past year to make it a legit conversation anyway, whatever he ends up doing eventually.

It'd suck if he goes to the Lakers honestly, not just because it's them or because it's not us, but because the West would be a lot more fun if the talent was a little more balanced. I'd be ok with him going back to Toronto tbh, watching them tear everyone apart this post-season has been been a lot of fun, I've been fully into the Raptors bandwagon for the past month.

Really hard to read the guy though, even in the highest of the highs immediately after winning an unexpected chip, the guy doesn't give any indication of a commitment (or lack there of lol). Offseason is gonna be crazy interesting this year.

Cris Carter this morning saying Toronto is in the “slight” lead and that Kawhi will sit down with all 4 NY/LA teams as well this offseason.

Nobody does. Its a bit frustrating.
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D

Thank God this franchise was not interested in a dumbass idea like trading for Demar Derozan.

Kawhi at the parade when crowd started yelling “one more year”..he pulls his finger up and asks and jokes “just one?” All while uncle Dennis holding his one finger up approving..then Lowry goes up and get them chanting “5 more years”..uncle Dennis puts five fingers up and bump fists with Kawhi...moment later Kawhi says into camera..”they cant beat us un till we quit”

Believe me, I'm not trusting anybody....let alone CC.

But I believe some people put stock in him when he said the Clippers were ahead.
They needed to see that.

Every psychology student (including myself) will tell you the body language of Kawhi in that 5 more year instant yells I’m going to the Clippers.

I majored in psychology. There has been some things he’s done in interviews that made me think that but definitely not that situation.

5 more year situation with us uncle holding up Jo’s hands too makes me feel something was said to Lowry to make him do that.

And if his uncle knew there was no way he was resigning he would never do that no matter how drunk he may have been.

Or his uncle doesn't know. Because Kawhi doesn't know himself.

I don't think KL's gaming anyone. He gave the Toronto crowd zero indication he's coming back. He urged everyone to enjoy the moment. Just like he is doing. Frankly, I think he would have had a much better time if he knew he was coming back. But he didn't let himself get caught up in the moment and maybe give the fans false hope.

And I would caution anyone with a background in psychology from opining on someone they didn't directly examine. Ethically/professionally, it's called the Goldwater Rule.

Lol fair enough.

We will see what happens June 30th. I’m hoping Raptors keep him but if he leaves want Clippers to nab him.

If he goes to the Knicks or the Lakers I will definitely feel disgusted.
