I don't think I would trade Jones for a rental but I would for a controllable 3B that can get on base and hold down third defensively at an above average level

The name, Rodon, sounds too much like Randle. They’ll always let you down in the big moments.

Our offense **** the bed again. MDB, you were right about Boone playing stupid games with the lineup. I saw Jazz hitting behind Judge today and just realized Boone is just doing some Larry Brown crap.

We're a week away from August and we're talking about guys not being able to base run, consistent errors in the infield, sloppy roster construction, guys sitting when they should be playing...

Nah. This team may not even make it out of the wildcard round, nevermind making the WS. There are too many issues.

Boone gas lighting the fanbase after every loss doesn't help either. I'm about sick of hearing that Anthony Volpe is this and that. He can't hit and he's the worst SS defensively in the league. Wake me up when it's Lombard's turn in the pressure cooker.

Man Yankees really did a disservice anointing Volpe like this. I thought he had turned the corner but he's choking.

Aaron Boone acting like Thibs and Volpe is Randle, with how he defends Volpe.

Ben Rice saving everyone's asses. He's having a good season after a tough first year. Good bounceback.

Also, need to give props to Stanton. I thought he was old and done in 2023, but he bounced back last year and he looks better than ever this year. Man has his OBP at .376 right now...it hasn't broken .300 for the past 3 seasons. Small sample size, I know, so hopefully I don't jinx the man.

Exactly, this team just keeps finding new ways to lose. This is far from a slump, this is who they are. I intentionally avoided saying we as I have detached myself from this clown organization. I'll still be a fan but I'm a far distant I just don't have the passion to support this clown show.

I will support the players for the most part but the sooner you detach yourself from this franchise the better off you are. It's not worth the aggravation, you would think last years embarrassment in game 5 would have actually embarrassed the Yankees, but nope of course not no addressing of fundamentals so if they don't care why should we.

Boone is garbage. He just throws wins away like we don't need them!!

I haven't been as emotionally invested as I used to be but, jfc how bad can a GM/manager be and still keep their jobs?

Ever since George died and we won on his way out... This team has been run like the Knicks were the last 25 years. More success but, terrible end results and horrible mismanagement of everything!

It really sucks but we don’t really learn our lessons. There was too much arrogance on the part of Hal, Cashman, and Boone.

This loss isn’t as bad as the way we messed up a potentially historic loss in the World Series with Gerrit Cole. But back then, several Dodgers players leaked their internal scouting reports and basically called us out. Cashman’s only rebuttal was to defend himself, not to take that criticism to heart and improve. That’s why this loss sucks to me. It’s stuff we’ve seen over and over again.
