Super hyped to see where this kid is at. I know it's only early days. I think a lot of teams are going to regret passing on him.

I had this crazy Nets dream about 2 weeks ago. It was just a bunch of highlights of all our core guys... Lin, LeVert, DLo, RHJ, Crabbe and Allen. Allen was throwing down everything though, mainly off feeds. He had a little jump hook, was making sick no look passes out of the post and was hitting J's out to 3. He was rebounding amd blocking shots all over the place, playing stellar D on pick and roll and closeouts. Ian Eagle, Jim and Bill Raftery were going on and on about him, how he was runner up for ROTY and how midway through his 3rd season he's now an MVP candidate and it's unfathomable how he fell outside the top 7 even in hindsight.

They were going on how him, LeVert and Russell were the most dynamic set of guys in the league and how Crabbe was an assassin from deep.

Fun dream!

My dream -- and I have it even when I am awake and conscious - is that in the long term Jarrett Allen becomes the Tim Duncan for this team. I don't think that is too much to ask. :) :)

I know how unlikely that is, but I seriously dream about the potential sometimes.

He had a couple nice blocks last night but i thought he looked really inactive. he needs to get his sea legs and start playing with energy. i think he needs to get the mental part first before he becomes really agressive. looks/sounds like a slow approach with him. maybe 5-10 mpg early and lots of coaching him up

Allen is the only net who got a vote in any category. He got votes for Best Steal in the draft

It’s going to be a treat to watch this kid grow up.

In his taste of the NBA (he missed summer league due to a pre-draft injury), Allen displayed glimpses of what he could do, specifically on defense, and on the boards. In 13 minutes off the bench, he didn’t score, but grabbed 5 rebounds (3 on offense), and made a thunderous block.

It was a great starting point for Allen, who is also adjusting to life outside the court, living away from home for the first time ... and in the big city at that.

On that front, Jeremy Lin has been a most helpful teammate, advising Allen to cook more.

“I’ve talked to Jeremy about it and he’s saying he cooks a lot at home, so I’m trying to cook more so I can eat more, and eat out less. Now, I have to go pay my bills,” he said, followed by a laugh. “I have to cook for myself – it’s just trying to adjust to the lifestyle of being by myself. In college I was living 20 minutes away from home. I had all the holidays back at home. It’s a little different, but I’m adjusting well.”

Would really appreciate if someone has the clips to his three pointer, dunk and block vs the Sixers.

He's truly a highlight reel waiting to happen.

Future is bright, he can shoot threes too.

Could it be that our shooting coach, aka KD's shooting coach, is absolutely great?

Everyone has improved a lot, maybe besides Bennett.

Hahah the best part is that someone said something to him when he shot it and he pointed at them once it went in. I like that.

He's got a great arc on his 3-point shot, with a quick and easy release. This is promising. He reminds me both offensively and defensively of Rasheed Wallace, who was an extremely valuable and underrated player during his career because of his antics. Hopefully he can improve on his FT shooting, and I think he will because his first FT misses were mostly long and not off-line.
