Re: sign and trade of Zack Lavine
Hield is a starting 2 guard in this league if you have the right pieces around him. At worst he's your sniper off the bench. I will gladly sign and trade Lavine for Hield and eat a bad contract.

Re: sign and trade of Zack Lavine
The Bulls aren't signing and trading Lavine, they either keep him at a good price or let him walk.
Also the Kings aren't giving us Buddy Hield.

Yeah sign and trades usually don't involve anything of actual value but rather tertiary pieces that are bonuses but not really.

it's gonna be hilarious when lavine is putting up 21-23 4 and 4 on the bulls next season efficiently and 95% of this forum looks stupid

Pax will overpay and have buyer's remorse and look to move him in the coming year(s).
It's the way he does things since he has been here.

My point exactly people so quick to give up on a player who returned from a ACL tear and looked rusty lol I guess people expected him to hit the ground running

No, because everyone will be happy if he does that.
This rhetoric of being insulting towards everyone that doesn't think Lavine is a superstar in the making is tiresome by you though, so I suggest you stop. Thank you.

Buddy Hield is a chucker. He sucks in crunch time. Prime Ben Gordon is way better than him.
Also, I don't care where LaVine ends up. He helps us lose when he's here. He helps us win (in the present) when he's gone. My thought is he goes to the Sacramento Kings so that they have a good shot at getting to the playoffs eliminating the Kings from getting a Top 3 Lottery pick. That would help us to land Nassir Little or RJ Barrett. Couldn't care less about Lavine's empty stats. And his Instagram video of him training hard? That's cool. Ok. Then what? Every single player in the NBA is EXPECTED to work hard in the summer. I'm not impressed. Even Derrick Rose put out numerous vids of him training hard trying to get back to what he was. It's just expected.
LaVine doesn't play defense and doesn't set up his teammates. I'm happy we got Lauri and Dunn from the deal. That's enough for me.

LaVine is capable of doing the above while still hurting your team and it's not at all out of reach for him to put up the above statistics.
However, he'll probably be limiting opportunity of his teammates and killing your defense at the same time, rendering it all useless. If the team is still performing better without him, my stance will be the same, even if he's putting up 25 a game.
That being said, I'd be thrilled to be wrong and have him eventually develop into a good player. He's never been an average one before, but certainly has exciting tools.

If Lauri continues to improve, I'm fine with the Butler trade without LaVine. If LaVine becomes a bad contract, I'm not okay with it.

I wonder just how far we are willing to go over that 15 mil per mark? He has more of an upside than Dunn offensively but they may not work together in the same backcourt. Didn't LaVine have his best stretches on the wolves when he played PG? If the the FO gives him a big contract it might also mean they are not big on Dunn. We may have to choose at some point.

I hope he enjoys Sacramento. I hear it's nice in the fall.
I'm not here to argue.

Squeeze this fool, Pax. Or let him go. Either’s fine.
