Could make a serious run at Nikola Vucevic.

I hope they throw a ridiculous contract at him

Also it can be hard to find a partner to trade back; there's usually more teams trying to trade down than teams who want to move up for that one specific target when you're outside of the lottery.

For me it's two-fold. I want to move on and I want a conference team to blow their cap space.

If Vuc wants to sign a team friendly ~$20 mil per deal, I'm all for bringing him back. I just don't think he'll be giving us any discounts and we'll be maxed out if we resign him to a huge deal.

I really don't see the Tobias comparison. Tobias could create his own shot and has a great mid range game. I have seen the highlights of chum he basically in the post or spotting up for 3 off the pick most of the time.

I just think he is more of a natural scorer than AG is. He hasn't shown much of shot creation but he seems to be decent in the post like Tobias is.

When you say it like that, I could kinda see it

Tobias was not always the shooter he is today. Okeke is already a good shooter. This isn't me saying that he will 100% reach Toby's level of NBA success, but his shooting should start off in a better place than Toby's did.

The Magic probably don't have room for a second round pick on the 15 man roster at #46.

They now have 10 guaranteed deals and some free agents they want to bring back while also maybe making some improvements to this team.

It's possible they could select someone to be a two-way player or have them sign outright with Lakeland like Justin Jackson did last year.

Then again, they might have other ideas for those two-way slots. If they want to dump this pick, I'd prefer they get a future second.

He's seems more crafty and has a better "feel" on the offensive end then AG. AG forces things alot.

At the same stage of their careers, Okeke probably has the advantage in that regard, but Gordon is a better shooter right now than Okeke.

Okeke isn't a great shooter. He hit 39% of his threes, but he only shot 70% from the free throw line and only hit 30% of his 2-point jump shots.

Okeke shot a lot of corner threes. He often camped there in offensive sets or rolled there after setting a screen. It's important to note that the 3-point line in college was 15 inches shorter than in the NBA (it will be moved to the international distance starting next year).
