I should have been higher on Kuminga so versatile on offense. Anyone notice how he uses the backboard for his shots? So good.

The more I watch him the more clear it gets he's legit. We literally need a wing like that in today's NBA to win.

I really don't wanna lose this guy.. he has it all. I just want to see more outside shot creation but looks like he was the tools to get there. Legit size and he'll only get stronger.

Don't fret, still hope that Daishen Nix doesn't move up too much. Who's to say that he won't be a better pro than Jalen Suggs?

I believe he was ranked ahead of Suggs coming out of highschool. Nix just needs to get leaner.

It's about time. It seems like every time I try to watch an NCAA game on a Saturday and a team with a top prospect is on, said top prospect is out. It's happened twice with Bouknight, once with Cade, and once with Scottie Barnes.

Bouknight and the glut of promising 2 guards in the draft make it seem more plausible to me we will trade Powell or Davis for an upgrade at the 5

I'm fine with sending him to the Clippers for Zubac and Kabengele and 2022 2nd pick.

PG Lowry - FVV - Flynn
SG FVV - TD - Thomas
SF OG - Bembry - Watanabe - Watson
PF Siakam - Boucher - Watanabe - Stanley
C Zubac/Boucher - Baynes

Yeah, it's between Cade and Kuminga imo and then everyone else.

My guess is they'd wanna do it without Zubac so he can be around to guard Jokic and play against the big Lakers and potentially Embiid, but are shopping Lou Will, so like this:

Raptors - (expiring and a choice 2nd rounder or low first and we give up a 2nd to them) + Kabengele, Detroit 2024 and 2025 2nd rounders (from Clips)
Clippers - Norm Powell
Team X - Lou Will

The good teams with bad benches are Portland, Miami, Brooklyn and then Philly is average. If Portland isn't going to end up matching a big Zach Collins offer he could be sent to us with Hood and we could throw them more value, like TD or Flynn or maybe they like Yuta or Watson even, or a pick swap top 5 protected since we might well finish 2-3 spots worse than them.

After watching the influence of OG Anunoby returning to the line-up being the most versatile defender switching from 5s to even 1s, I feel like Toronto will not pass up on Usman Garuba from Real Madrid. Watching his film he stands out as the best defender in the class. To me he is this year's Bam Adebayo, like Oneyka Okongwu was last year.

Garuba has scary potential on defense because he has quick feet, impossible motor, good length/wingspan and strong hands. The aspects that make him most like OG is the size at 6'8" and 240 lbs (he has those tree trunk legs like OG, but can move pretty fluidly).

Aside from size, he just makes smart reads on when to help, and can have some pretty spectacular at the rim blocks. For shotblocker he is fairly smart when challenging jumpers and contests under control. Reminds me a lot of Ibaka in that regard.

On offense, it is mostly Garuba in the dunker spot, but he has some really good short roll passes, and can hit corner threes and will mix in the occasional straight-line drive. The jumper is a WiP, but this guy has so many good things going for him.

Bleacher Report updated their mock and I see Garuba at 15, so I think others believe this guy is a fringe lottery level talent.

Ona related note, wow at Springer and Johnson from Tennessee being at 6 and 7. I am curious how that team does during March Madness. Personally I'd put Davion Mitchell ahead of Keon Johnson any day, and Scottie Barnes is dropping for me. I just feel like he is RHJ, a non-scorer who is a bit weird to figure out where he plays.

Weird coincidence. I was watching Garuba clips last night and thought the same thing. He can guard all 5 positions. Kind of reminds me of OG on defense but much more raw on offense. I wanna see the measurements before I commit though if he's going to be a small ball big.

I think it’s time to give up on the top 5 pick dream. You’ll only be disappointed if you still have hope.

Looking at talent that will fall between 10-20 James bouknight really stands out as to what we need. Pure scoring SG. Dude gives me serious Lavine vibes.

I have read that he measured out at 6'8" ; 7'2" wingspan and weighs 240 lbs. Basically he is giving up at most an inch to Bam height-wise, but he measures out the same. The guy is only 18, so he might still be growing a bit more.

Garuba seems far more Biyombo than Bam lol

Not an explosive leaper or have the ballhandling Adebayo had/has.

Not really. Doesn't have the quickness or obviously the leaping ability...tbh Jalen Green is probably the prospect closest just he might have more commitment to the defensive end than Zach.

But I'll take Josh Christopher over Bouknight. Bouknight looks like he has that T-Ross wingspan. Christopher looks to be just as lethal scorer but younger, better wingspan and just seems to have a bit more dog in him imo.

Bouknight is a fun player as you can see the innate scoring instincts he has. He oozes skills with his shot creation ability but I am curious what he measures out as.

He isn't the level of athlete that Lavine is so I don't see quite a similar player.

Maybe he is the next Devin Booker, but his percentages are not elite despite playing in a weak conference and he looks slightly smaller.

If this guy can be a PG like Jamal Murray adding some playmaking in, then he becomes really interesting, otherwise he reminds most of Gary Harris when he was at Michigan State.
