I often listen to the Packer radio, while watching on TV(even with time sync issues). McClaren, a pretty good center himself, would call out good individual plays and missed blocks, etc. Just from gut feel, Myers was called out for more whiffs than the others. Not a washout by any means, but a run driven team needs to be able to consistently breach the center of the defensive line.

Good god that's a rough one for Myers to figure out that's what the league thinks of you, especially with the money being thrown around. I hope he has a good year.

Was thinking the same. Any veteran starter in their 20s with a pulse is getting stupid money, and Myers gets that. Sort of an indictment that the Packers continued to start him in his 3rd and 4th years.

Say what you want about PFF but their grade (49th out of 64 qualifying Centers) was pretty spot on. Myers was indeed bad and the whole league seemed to know he was just a starter in name only.

While they're at it, bring in another long snapper for a tryout. Matt Orzech is the Josh Myers of long snappers

That's sad, even sadder that two pro bowl centers were taken almost directly after we took Myers.

And this isn't just 20/20 vision as Humphrey and Meinerz were ranked ahead of Myers by most.

Looks like the Giants, Vikings or Steelers (most likely). We play them all so we'll have a week of the Rodgers circus to deal with :nonono:
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I can't imagine even Aaron, as petty and vindictive as he can be, would want to really go down the exact same road that Favre did after all these years. I think the Steelers job is the only one that makes sense. One last shot with a playoff team/respected coach and then he retires.

The Bengals are such a foolish organization. Burrow will want out soon.

I doubt the Vikings want to get on the Rodgers train with McCarthy waiting in the wings. Too much nonsense, and Rodgers won't want to risk being benched.

I think the Steelers make a lot of sense. Good organization. Respected head coach. Good defense. Good receivers. But to go there, he's going to have to put aside his ego because that organization is bigger than Rodgers ever will be. He won't be able to bend it to his will.

I think you are right.

I'll throw in a couple of cliches to think on with Aaron: he loves being the "tail that wags the dog", so he's playing Hamlet with the Steelers - "to be, or not to be".

I know Tomlin has a history of being able to get production from difficult personalities, but I'd still be leery of taking on the 41 year old, 200,000+ miles Aaron.

The consensus in Pittsburgh among the fans is they’d rather have Russ back than sign Rodgers. Not that it would matter to the franchise as they’re obviously making a play for him but it’s rather overwhelming that the city seems frustrated there’s even interest. Rodgers is an egomaniac, I’m sure if he feels unwanted it’s weighing on him. IMO, it’s why he hasn’t made his decision yet. He’s not a dumb person he knows Pittsburgh is the best place to ride out on his high horse.
