I wouldn't mind keeping him, myself. I understand why we wanted to offload him, though. Would have saved us a fortune and created a large trade exception (around $12 million)

What about THT he's ELITE getting to the rim huge body and a 6*5 like 250 guard with excellent handle not much chance on the Bulls but played well in Utah he's only making 2mil

We need more of another pick and roll ball handler. Someone that can control pace and settle the team down into some good offense. Malcolm Brogden is ideal

Sadly I don't think we have any tradable second round picks, could've been handy trying to trade Tucker/Anderson and get a smart experienced PG.

Really going to enjoy watching Maple Jordan. He is really solid on defense and I think he bridges Herro to Bam/Ware and gives us a really strong attacking option on the offensive end. Wiggins is 29 but he still has not peaked in my opinion. Mentally he is in a good place, the talent has always been there and has shined in moments during his career. This is as gifted and as talented a player as there is in league. Can Spo and company help him achieve a level in the next year and a half that he has not obtained before? I think so.

I actually really like Kyle Anderson on this team and feel that he gives you some interesting lineup options. He is 6'9 a very good passer, and capable shooter. He is a really good end of the rotation bench guy, who is kind of a mixed bag of skills. You can very briefly have him play PG in spurts. He has been around high level teams and can contribute to winning.

PJ Tucker is your new enforcer. An OG who has been there before and know what Heat Culture is. He is still capable of giving you a few stretches in a playoff series of rugged defense. More than anything he does on the floor his impact in the locker room will be great for the guys, I think the young guys benefit from Love's happy go lucky type demeanor, but there needs to be a voice in that locker room who is about that action like PJ is.

I think swapping Tucker for Schroeder was purely a tax move. Had they known the Toronto deal was going to go under, I think they would have stayed with him.

Had they unloaded Anderson and kept Schroeder they would be a slightly above the tax line.

-$20 million cheaper
-2 years younger
-better athlete
-better defender
-bigger
-less redundancy with Herro
-slots right in to SF spot with capability to be a small ball PF (basically he can play forward position next to everyone on Heat roster who should be getting minutes)

Main negative I see is he won't help ball handling and he is a less of an iso scorer than Beal. Contracts are for same amount of years so that's a wash. We also don't know for sure if Beal was waiving that NTC to come to Miami.

PJ Tucker
Heat had him before so they know what he brings on/off the court and in practice. They realize he is 3 years older. I think it was more money and what he will bring off the court than on court production. Heat have been lacking the tough guy, no nonsense vet since Haslem left. Tucker is going to bring that.

That looks like it fell through with them agreeing to Ingram deal.

That Ingram deal looks pretty good for them. Unless of course he spends more time off the court than on it due to injury.
