We signed Younghoe Koo yesterday so I hope not

Watch him break a leg in warmups, Giants are truly cursed like that.

Why would Daboll declare Dart the starter for the rest of the season? He didn't have to do that now.

if he's good he keeps his job likely

if he's bad he's getting fired anyway so might as well go down swinging if your Daboll.

I bet he’s doing it for Dart, to remove the worry from his mind.

He's basically saying that, no matter what, Dart gives us the best chance to win for the rest of the season.

A somewhat crazy declaration for a rookie when you have Jameis sitting behind him. Russ too. Especially considering that he didn't have to say it.

I really hope Dart shows out, but this really feels like the Giants had no real plan at QB.

Sounds like a disconnect between Schoen and Daboll. Sounds like going to Dart this early was a Daboll call (he basically said as much in the presser right didn't he say this was his decisions like 7 times). Probably because Daboll has been beating the drum for Dart all offseason. Wasn't there a report Daboll didn't want to mess around and just pick dart at #3. Schoen basically told him he wouldn't but he would try his best to move up into the 1st round to get him his guy.

So that kinda shows that Schoen and staff probabaly had a 2nd round grade on Dart but Daboll wanted him really bad.

And now to declare the rookie the starter for the rest of the year makes me think Daboll basically has to prove a point with his coaching career on the line that he can actually develop a QB (that isn't Josh Allen).

Agreed. Whatever the plan was, this isn't it. I guarantee Jameis didn't come here to be 3rd string and Russ didn't sign up for 3 games.

Showing development chops with Dart is a tall order, since even Josh Allen wasn't really good until his third year.

It certainly reeks of desperation. I would have preferred they waited. Now the fan in me certainly is more interested now then ever because there is more juice with your potential future QB playing.

I just think the downside of this potentially being "too" early to roll him out could backfire because ultimately how can you trust this coaching staff when they basically haven't proved they are capable since they have been here.

The reporting on this is that Schoen is not aligned with Daboll starting Dart and the non-QB players found out on Twitter like the rest of us.

Dart hadn't practiced with the first team before Daboll announced the switch.

This doesn't inspire a ton of confidence in Daboll's "process"

Curious how many think this game will tell if DART is the future or they draft another guy next year (if possible). ??? :o

It's Pat Leonard, so take it with a grain of salt, but still something to watch.

I don't think there's a chance Daboll gets fired Monday (he's going to get as long of a leash as possible with Dart) but I do think there's truth that there is a divide opening up between Schoen and Daboll.

I know it’s early, but it will be really exciting for the Giants to get a top pick this year. Even if Dart shows up, they can fetch a kings ransom trading down

Anyone else think it's a touch ironic that the NFL sent the Vikings to Ireland?

I'm up and getting ready to cook up a storm for the next two hours.

I'm excited because either this will be fun to watch or horribly depressing
