Which NBA team has the best "Away fans"?

Toronto has fans in all the Northern NBA cities, especially those in the North East. There are no way close to having "away fans" that are the best, but they do have a surprising number of fans at Bulls, T Wolves, etc. games.

they make the effort of buying tkts, attending games and cheering in person as oppose to someone sitting behind a computer labeling others as real fans or not.

Over the last few years it seems like the Celtics fans have been the best in terms of how audible they are. I'm sure there are more laker fans @road games but sometimes they go unnoticed.

The Hawks are the 3rd most popular NBA team in Atlanta. The Falcons was 3rd for NFL teams as well before Vick and than the Falcons was so popular it was one of the most popular teams in the NFL. Without Vick, the Falcons are still kinda popular but Vick was a rockstar here.

1. Lakers
2. Bulls
3. Hawks
4. Knicks
5. Magic (Dwight fans)
are the most popular teams here. It's hard to find true Hawk fans. They watch them but don't really like them. We get Dwight Howard and all those bad fans comments will come to a end. People used to say the Falcons had bad fans to but they always suck with no chance of winning and we have a lot to do in Atlanta, it's kinda like LA down here.

You have to remember, the Hawks haven't been to the ECF since 1970.

If you mean bandwagon fans, than this is easily LA, followed closely by Boston/Chicago.

Agreed. I travel a lot, and I see Lakers jerseys everywhere. Although, not sure if it's really "bandwagon" because it's been that way for a LONG time..

Well, LA has been winning for a LONG time, as well. I've seen so many people with literally no ties to LA/California wear Lakers jerseys, mostly because of Kobe.

This is true. CA resdisent here. Kobe is global icon so dont be suprised if you go to itlay , China and see Kobe jerseys. Thats how big he is .

Lakers fans are bandwagoning Kobe fans, but they are def everywhere.

Knicks fans I would say go first. Go to a Knicks Wizards game, probably about 50/50 Knicks wiz fans. Go to a Knicks Heat game... ha ha, nothing need be said. Go to a Knicks Hawks game... Nuts. Knicks fans can be found in huge numbers in Philly and ofcourse they out number Nets fans in their own stadium too. Knicks fans even show up in large numbers in Charlotte. They might not go out far in the west, but anywhere on the east coast they show up and rep for their team. Probably Boston is the only place they dont have a huge impact.. Almost anywhere else, their presence is more than felt.

Its been that way for the longest in Atlanta, Miami, DC and NJ... Def. some of it is because of their improved play and new found stars, no doubt about that.

My Coworker who is in ATL for business this month went to the ATL game and said the Hawks team store was selling Lakers gear and memorabilia. That's the first time I've I heard that ever happen in an opposing arena outside of Staples center (lakers/clippers).

Also, he said the attendance seemed to b 50/50 lakers/hawks fans. On this Lakers road trip, Kobe has recieved MVP chants in San Antonio and Atlanta. Miami is next!

Lakers definitely have the most away fans and the most internationally by a long shot.

Doesn't matter if they're bandwagoners or can't name any bench players. When you talk about having the best fans on the road, what they need to do is cheer for the away team (their team) and try to drown out the home team and disrupt their cheers. Many Lakers fans are loud and obnoxious which helps on the road. You hear half the road crowd cheering for the Lakers way too often.

Our away fans are better than the rich home bastards w/ comp'd seats.
