You guys are ridiculous if you think you can nab CP3 without them throwing Okafor at us as well. CP3 is the Hornets only chance at unloading his massive contract. They're a package deal. CP3 makes everyone around him better, and he'd turn Gallo into a legit #3 option on the wing.

Also, TW - If you give up Dougie as well, we'll have nothing on the bench.

Im stating thats the best offer I can give them. Im not giving them Gallo too. We would still have Felton to backup so IDK what you're talking about. And we can prob trade Felton later since his contract isnt bad for some bench players.

I know we have a lot more assets than we did a few years ago but doesn't anyone get flashbacks from that summer when Kobe wanted out? I remember that New York was "supposedly" one of the rumored teams that Kobe wanted to be traded to.

you look @ the past all-star trades.....the players were given up by themselves, KG, Gasol.....LA didnt take back Cardnials contract, and Boston didnt take back Jaric

Exactly. Why are people so willing to grab their ankles for this? We are not as desperate for this trade as people are making it seem.

No, it's not. Why would that be a contender, but Phoenix with Amare wasn't?

Phoenix with Amare just made the conference finals.

You might be right, but in that case, why not just wait and get Paul or Deron in 2012, with Melo and Amar'e on the roster?

Patience is better than Okafor at this point. And I'm not convinced that Gallo can be a great third option. A good one, yes probably. But not necessarily great. So you hold out for the team that will give you the best chance at a title.

i do think portland might have the best offer because they would probably gut their entire farm now that pritch is gone for paul. oden, batum, rudy, vesely is probably better than randolph, chandler and gallo even though not by much.

i honestl would have a very tough time parting with gallo and randolph.

They also had a bench which we would likely no longer have if we gave up some of the packages being talked about here for CP3 so....

Nets aren't trading Lopez and with Mayo's eventual move to PG, I don't see them trading him either (if it works out). The Knicks, although they can't give picks in this year's draft or next year's, the Knicks can put together a very intriguing offer for Paul.

Because Paul might get traded elsewhere, or he'll sign somewhere else. Deron will probably resign as well. You can't bank on someone coming here in 2 years. If there's a trade available, you take it.

Melo's no guarantee. With the new CBA coming into place he might even resign before the FA period even begins.

Because a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. I'd rather not take my chances with Melo and then Paul.

Btw can we note how I think this is the first time KLN and I have ever agreed on something

i would love to do the trade without chandler or randolph, but we are getting probably the best pg in the league. He alone will make gallo into a possible all star, and can take over games also. Cp3 at his best is better than nash at his best. It makes us a top 3 or 4 team in the east.

Yea a bench consisting of Jarron Collins, Barbosa, and Dudley. Mozgov, Douglas/Felton and Fields/Walker are just as good.

Poor Cubs, haven't won a 'ship in a hundred years, and with the contracts they have, it'll likely continue.
Brooklyn Nets
Damian Lillard - Rajon Rondo - Trey Burke
Victor Oladipo - Wes Matthews - Javon Carter
Caris LeVert - Derrick Jones Jr. - Glenn Robinson III
Andre Igoudala - Killian Tillie - Trey Lyles
Joel Embiid - Taj Gibson - Kevon Looney

Yea, but I never really felt they had enough to win a ring. The same way I don't think simply by having CP3, Amare and really no one else really puts us in the running serious contention. I'd rather make the playoffs this year with our current roster and make a run for Melo.
