At least Wade will not be present in today's negotiations, somebody must've told him off.

The ones here supporting the players, try to really, really think about it.
To see who deserves what %, answer this: - what do each side has invested in this business, for how long are they in for and which side takes more risk?

The business had invested more - but they also make a profit back from it (fair to me).
The players had been there longer - but it doesn't really matter who is longer, the contract will bound between the same players and owners.
The players take more risk - players can't change field, can they? the owner can invest in something else when their risk is higher than some sort (players have no choice, owners do).

Stupid fat bastard rich owners thinking they're entitled to anything. There is no money to argue about without the players.
The owners don't do anything but make horrible decisions, half these morons don't belong anywhere near an NBA franchise they're so horrible.

Obviously there's no deal because there would be a joint press conference, but nobody expected a deal to be struck today. But progress...

We at the very least might see games in Decemeber but that's beeing optimistic. This is going to be a slow and drawn out process. The owners moved from 46% to 47% and that's not enough from their end. The end split will be 53/47 in the end. Though when a deal actually gets done is beyond me.

As I've been saying all along, this was not going to settle without pain. Pain for both sides. There is no earthly way, after two years of bigging up the crisis, that either side was just going to fold today. It's not just how they would be perceived today. Without showing a willingness to sacrifice, they would not take each other's militancy seriously in future rounds of CBA talks...

Well if nothing else, the agents can feel better about themselves.

The douche bag of the day award now belongs to the owners...
