Honestly, I'm fine with whomever we draft. Even Barnes, though I'd prefer he came in a trade.

I'm with you. There are positives and negatives for all of these guys. Anyone of the usual suspects in our range should be good.

I'd be willing to bet that the asking price for #2 is significant talent plus a team taking on Thomas, which is why no team wants to take it on. Cleveland is reportedly feeling Waiters at 4 now, but I think it may just be a smoke screen. I think it shows they really want a SG, and I think they are still hot for Beal. Sure they will probably take Waiters if they can't move, but I think they still very much want to move and are giving Charlotte a sense of urgency.

From what it sounds like, Washington would take MKG at 3. I still hope we trade back to 4 + 24 with Cleveland because of what we could get with that 24th pick. I think TRob will still be there at 4, and if not then a guy like MKG or Barnes would do as well.

Clev needs shooting just as bad as we do. Kyrie is their creator. Waiters can attack but shooting is not his strong suit. I think tyrus is holding up potential deals as well. We are probably playing chicken with other teams to see who will flinch first. I suspect things will heat up a few hours before the draft.

If cho can come out of this with a top 5 pick, another 1st rounder, keep our 2nd, and unload Tyrus, he'll have done a helluva job.

Well, all signs and signals point to entrenched positions by Charlotte, Cleveland and Washington. Perhaps Cho played too hard a hand, but he's certainly found out the limits from the key players. NOBODY, it seems, will take on Tyrus.

Reportedly Cleveland has decided to not move the 4th pick, but try to find a way to move the 24 & an asset to get into the upper middle. They are content to pick MKG at 4 if Robinson & Beal go ahead of them, and are trying to get position to draft Terrence Ross (per Chad Ford this AM on Mike & Mike show).

Washington seem very content to play this out, although they might still swap picks with us via throwing in their 2nd rounder. Unless we want to draft Beal, we might do best to just take that deal.

Other options would seem to be more extreme, via trading back much further in the draft for extra picks. Unless someone really gets crazy, I don't see Cho going that route.

Denver gets #2, Biedrins and Diop.

GSW gets Wilson Chandler and Tyrus Thomas

Cats receives Afflalo, #7 via GSW, #20 via Nuggets.

Then we can trade Hendo for another 1º round pick, or Hendo + #20 for TOP 12 pick

I like, but prefer to get Chandler versus Afflalo. Figure out a way to do that and I'm all over that deal.

The problem is that GSW wants Chandler for give up the #7.

Afflalo is a good defender. We need defense.

I don't think Cho played too hard a hand. Most trades do not happen until the draft night anyway. Very rarely do big trades involving top 10 picks happen prior to the draft night. You keep playing hardball and if a team really wants it, they will jump for it come draft night. If not, then chances are, if you really want to, you can find a lesser trade to make. Bottom line though, there is talent at 2 so keeping it shouldn't be a huge surprise.

Cho was just on the radio and just from his response to various players I think it was fairly obvious that his reaction to TRob and Barnes were very positive. I don't think Cho views MKG or Beal in the same light as TRob and Barnes. In the same breathe he does understand the value in Beal though. I would not be surprised at all if we took Beal and worried about the rest later. Clearly Beal has value in the league, so perhaps you just take him and trade him later, or trade someone else.

Bottom line. It's important that people understand that anyone is fair game. There's no such thing as drafting for need with us, right now. Even if we draft Beal, people have to understand we just need talent. Just because our two best players are Hendo and Gordon and we have needs at SF/PF, it doesn't mean that drafting Beal is a mistake. I like Cho's idea: Draft talent, worry about need later.

I think if teams are just completely unwilling to make a deal involving Tyrus, Cho would still move down. I mean trading the 2 for the 4 and 24 is not terrible. Unloading TT somehow would just be gravy, but I can understand if we couldn't. I wouldn't let that be the determining factor in us not making a move though that can net us an extra asset.

@daldridgetnt: Source: Bobcats have five legit offers they're currently exploring to trade the second pick overall in tonight's NBA Draft.

My definition of legit Is offers that cho thinks are real good value... Not just plain old feeler offers. Since there are 5 we can really drive a hard bargain. Things should get real interesting here!

Btw, bonnel said Thomas has gained 20 pounds and is working out in Texas.

i hope these legit offers include multiple picks

I hope tyrus is working on his dribbling but cause thats the biggest thing keeping him from being a decent player....and also the fact the is dumb as a brick

About time for a super-unlikely multi-team trade to kill some time before the draft.

Cleveland In: #2 (Beal), 31, 41
Cleveland Out: #4, 24, 33, 34

Portland In: #4 (Drummond), 34, 36
Portland Out: #6, 11, 40, 41

Sacramento In: #11, 24, 33
Sacramento Out: #5, 36

Charlotte In: #5 (Barnes), 6 (Robinson), 40
Charlotte Out: #2, 31

I can dream :D

No need to make a deal just to do it.

If they don't take Tyrus then they need to give up more. If Cho doesn't like anything being offered, then I'm more than fine just standing pat at 2 and taking Beal

The Bobcats have five separate legitimate offers to trade the second overall pick, according to a source.

Charlotte is believed to be leaning toward selecting Thomas Robinson if the pick is retained, but a trade could allow the franchise to improves its roster in the form of multiple players.

Yesssss, I just don't see us making a pick at 2 for ourselves. I just can't see it. Too much to gain by trading.
