Oh yes, I was also happy for him to finally get a shot to prove himself. If I remember correctly, he was one reason why they decided to sell Leno because they thought Vlachodimos was a younger and even better prospect.
I'm a bit worried though because there are reports that Zorniger now thinks they need another GK as an insurance. I don't understand it though because Tyton is going to get a ban for one or at most two games. The probability of a GK getting injured is not that high and it should work for the next one or two games.
Absolutely crossing my fingers that Vlachodimos remains in goal not only for the next match(es) but also long-term. Having played as a GK myself, I enjoy seeing a young guy getting a chance and doing well.
