Don't know why but I've always hated CJ McCollum as a player. I guess it's because he's a Blazer and the Blazers is my most hated team of all time from all sports (don't ask me why, I just hate them).

People love Sam Presti but despite drafting 3 HOF talents he won’t win a ring. If Danny was losing AS players like Sam Presti he would have been crucified by the media but we don’t hear any criticism on Presti.

Nuff said.

I'm sure San Antonio fans would also lol 3 times over trading their offensive and defensive beast of a wing, top 7 or 8 player in the NBA for anything less. Fact is if the big boys got together for a trade, the asking price would start there..not sure how anybody could think otherwise. Kawhi is an absolute giant of a player.

Well they can lol lol lol themselves. If you told people the BKN trade would net Kyrie and Khawi i bet it wouldn’t go so well, seeing as how far Tatum especially has developed his rookie year.

That’s pure insanity. Sac pick, And filler. They are in a position of weakness, not strength.

Sac pick and a filler could work..if Boston was the only team in the NBA bidding for the guy. Every team in the NBA beats that package if they want..

Position of weakness just isn't correct when you're talking about Kawhi. He's got a year left, so that brings his value down a bit..but this is still a player that 29 other NBA teams have been drooling over and one in which under normal circumstances maybe 1 or 2 teams had the pieces to trade for..people will give an arm and a leg to get him now that the opportunity is there. He's a franchise changing addition..

We have had our trouble recruiting free agents and we have the most championships in the NBA and the 9th largest media market in the US (as well as an international fan base). Just imagine how much tougher it is to sell Oklahoma City. We can bring Tom Brady to our recruiting pitches. They can arrange a visit to Oral Roberts University. Small media markets are tough which is why Presti does deserve extra credit for being able to do as much as he has. Same way I am not going to dump on Utah. Salt Lake is objectively a nicer city than OKC but still a tough sell for players. And management there has done about as good as anyone can expect.

A franchise changing option for a bottom feeder, not this Cs team with a most likely younger version in Jaylen and who knows what Tatum will be.

Again, people are so desperate to ship out these young guys who have a major upside and have shown it already. It’s always the next “high” name that have the trade everyone crowd drooling.

Thank god, and I’ve said it plenty that Danny is in charge.

I agree with the red part.........but not because I think he would hold on to rookies instead of getting a young MVP talent if given the chance lol.

Kawhi changes this franchise also.

But tbf, I think you lost my point along the way. I never said I'd DO such a trade or that Boston does such a trade. The topic I commented on a few pages ago was that some reporter said Kawhi would be traded for 'pennies on the dollars'. To me that's not correct. Many teams would offer big packages for him and at that point I mentioned that if Boston got in the convo they probably ask for both our guys..100% they ask for at least one + Sacto pick and if we don't go for it there's no deal from their part. So yeah..as much as I'd love to have Kawhi on this team, I'm not desperate to trade anybody.

You give up the farm for Kawhi if his fitness checks out. Imagine Stevens with Kyrie, Hayward and Kawhi.

I know we are getting attached to the young guys due to how good they look, but let’s nkt get carried away here. We are taking about a perennial MVP/DOOY candidate that scores 20+ Super efficiently here.

I'd be disappointed if jaylen or Tatum go but let's be honest here one of the two would so that value is balanced and clutter in that position is reduced (to get KL).

Still though that means that the youngling remaining plays at the 4 hence I am assuming that from natural fit it would be jaylen going.

We should be rational about this though. Jaylen is showing signs of amazing growth and looks like a player that follows on KL steps in every aspect.

How would KL change our salary flexibility ? We are talking about a max guy in 2 years . Same time Irving is getting his max contract. We already maxed Gordon and Al. Would this even be a possibility?

Irving Gordon and Leonard would be a formidable squad indeed. Long term and with the right development Irving jaylen Gordon and Tatum can potentially be formidable too. I don't think there's right and wrong.

Mirotic has a lot to do with Pelicans recent success too.
I dont see AD leaving NO. They need a wing and a bench scorer, and they will be contender.

I doubt it. Pels are capped out, they can’t get any big pieces. They need a legitimate all star added.

I respectfully disagree. They got 2 of the top 10-12ppl in the league. & They're legit both matchup nightmares.

Jrue off the ball has been great. Rondo keeping track of flow & getting guys in their spots has been good.

They need a legit SF. Now idk how they can get one? You're right they're in cap hell. But maybe the MLE can fill a big need.

Rondo
Holiday
MLE FA
Davis
Cousins

&& Diallo, Mirotic, Hill, Miller, Moore off the bench. Good mix of offense & defense.

I really think if they can get a Danny Green, or Ariza type guy (doubt Ariza, but Green maybe so?) I think they'd really be right there. Not GSW HOU level, but kinda like us this year the 2nd tier contenders. & for NOLA? That'd be damn good.

He is terrible defensively and his offensive game is quite okay. But yeah, he's certainly beyond thrash.

I have NO CLUE what scouts saw in him that launched his status in the draft to a top 3 pick. He’s a below average athlete, has below average vision, can’t shoot, he’s average at best ball handling, can’t defend traffic cones, and his basketball IQ is amongst the worst I’ve ever seen. Imagine that some people had the audacity to compare him to Brandon Roy? I’d take the current broken down version of Brandon Roy over DLo. The kid sucks.

Bro. They were comparing him to James Harden lol.

The biggest standouts to me is how terrible his handle is. & How unathletic he looks. Now that might be a knee issue thing & over the summer he can get it together, but all the knee issues don't sound good either.

Ah geez. I just saw pictures of him shortly after he collapsed. Hits too close to home for us, Celtics fans. RIP to Zeke. Sending light and love to his family and friends during this dark time. :(

Sounds like it. Collapsed during a game on Saturday night. Someone came out with a defibrillator to try and resuscitate him. Damn.
