its was a stupid as hell play tho.

he has to be smarter when to go full ham. Up 3-0 against the **** Wizards in the first quarter is not one of those times.

Apparently Gargano said he heard (from his source) the injury isn't serious and expects he'll play tomorrow.

I dont remember any other big man with his size falling as much as Embiid. He is too big and fragile to be falling as much as he does.

Come on man this is ridiculous. He's a basketball player. He makes moves instictually. You can't go out there as a player and think to yourself i can't do these certain things in the small chance I get hurt. You go out and play the game. It was a drive to the basket lol.

Isn't it the other knee than the one he injured this season (also against Wizards?)?

It was a reckless play with little to no chance of success.

Yeah I am not saying play tentitive but when you are that important to your team and have a history of getting knicked up; you have to pick and choose when to go all in. Especially as you get older. Ja Morant can fling himself at the rim with no regards...he won't be able to do that when he hits around Jo's age lol. And he's not a 7'2 300 lb behemoth.

There is a delicate balance that Jo has to learn. He has actually been better as he has learned how to fall but this season damn near every injury scare has come from him going nuts and trying to end lives on dunks lol.

Now hopefully this is nothing and then holding him out was them being cautious (and cocky that they could win without him) but going forward, he needs to pick his spots better and I am sorry; going full speed at Robin Lopez while he is packed in the paint for an off balanced fingeroll falling out of bounds is not that spot.

There is indeed a lot of room between Jojo being tentative in any way and going overboard wanting to lay the smack down for effect or just using good sense. I know it is tough in the heat of the moment, but Embiid already showed he could learn these things by learning how to fall and roll with his falls to spread the force out. He falls amazingly well on some moves that are absolutely necessary, normal hard basketball moves. The need to crush a dunk or take a low percentage success/high percentage injury risk is something he has to weigh strongly against his value to the entire team by being present and able to play. Some injuries are avoidable, some are not, I would just like to see him take that into account more than he has at times this year (and most often against the Wizards for some reason).

I'm hoping the knee is okay, looked like his hip and butt are gonna be mighty sore. The playoffs this year after the compacted season are more than half about survival, so staying on the court is key for every quality player on any playoff team, and more than ever, this year.

I know the word is supposedly all good, but the longer this goes without an update....... it makes me uneasy to say the least.

For the people saying he shouldn't of drove like that and all the other bs.. if he didn't get hurt and we won there would be no mention of it. It's only under a microscope due to the injury. I wish he didn't do it too , now that he's hurt.

Hope he's ok but I'm not gonna go on about how he should of thought about it before doing it. He's in the moment and focused on scoring not if I do this I could get hurt

**** me, had the MRI, listed as doubtful for tomorrow. Will be further evaluated... WTF does that mean? Bone bruise? Sore knee? Guess that he's doubtful means that he doesn't have a tear or something. Like is he getting a 2nd opinion, or further evaluated means he's just going to be observed some more.

Would be nice to close it out without Joel and the Knicks to steal one more so our guys can get a breather. Sucks we couldn't sweep them, but not totally surprising.

I love Kyle Neubeck.

Good news I guess?

" The good news, a source close to the situation told PhillyVoice, is that the Sixers feel good about the ability to manage Embiid's health from a long-term/overall playoff perspective. Information beyond that, though, has been murky. "

We can beat them at home without Embiid. I really, really hope the Knicks win at least one more game in that Atlanta series.
