Yeah, if Cleveland gets their guys back healthy we are much better than Indiana, but that isn’t going to be the case. Even if we get 1 or 2 guys back, they won’t be close to 100%. The team Cleveland put on the court for game 2 was probably a 40-45 win team in the East.

You should read the literal 2 minute report.
We did and it literally says that Haliburton was fouled by Jerome on that drive that you're all complaining about.
https://official.nba.com/l2m/L2MReport.html?gameId=0042400202Comment: Jerome (CLE) extends his forearm into Haliburton (IND), affecting his driving shot attempt.
You see, the foul wasn't called on Mitchell's contest. It was called on Jerome's reach in after he was blown by.
Yes, the L2M does say that lane violations should have been called (just like it says that Mitchell should have been called for defensive 3 seconds prior to that drive, by the way) but it literally confirms the call that you're all disputing.
There were lane violations on not one, but both of the Pacers offensive rebounds. They were on the players who secured the offensive rebounds.

Read the L2M again. The lane violations weren't in the players that secured the boards. If they were, it would say that the Cavs should get the ball. But that's not what it says. It says that the lane violations were on multiple players and that we should have two jump balls instead. That's because Cleveland's players also committed lane violations in both cases. Both teams were at fault, hence the jump ball.
And, again, you have been complaining about the call that put Haliburton at the line ever since it happened and the L2M disagrees with you and considers it a good call.
The L2M disproved your original claim and now you're moving the goalposts.

I cannot believe the contact on Haliburton’s drive was called on Jerome. With all of the hand checking and grabbing the officials allowed the Indiana players to get away with down the stretch as they were pressing Cleveland full court, to call that at the end, is terrible.

Claiming it was against Jerome makes it worse. The officials allowed Indiana players to body check and bump Cleveland ball handlers for the last six minutes of the game. If you want to allow that, great, but don’t blow a whistle on Cleveland with 10 seconds left that gives the Pacers two free throws.

So you wanted them to make a call I've never seen in my life. All right. I mean if you want to be a victim I guess. I can't stop you.
I'm just going to say I don't get it. I almost never even mention the refs. Even when I meet Pacers fans IRL at a game or bar and they name refs by name I roll my eyes. I'm immediately like, oh .... you're one of those, all right. I got it.
The only ref name I really know is Bill Kennedy bc he and I were laughing and joking on the sidelines one game. He was dancing and hilarious all game. Awesome dude, btw. Even when I played baseball I knew umpire names only because as a pitcher I wanted to know their tendencies. Outside of that I would never paid them any attention.
There are just too many opportunities as players to prevent calls from affecting the game. I focus on that. Maybe it's bc I spent so long as a player, not a fan. I dunno.

A lane violation was called earlier in this very game so that's definitely not what he's talking about. If I had to guess, I'd say that he's talking about the refs calling a jump ball because both teams were called for a lane violation. That is indeed significantly rarer.
My guess is that this is the reason why the lane violation wasn't called in the first place. The whole point of the rule is to prevent players from getting an unfair advantage over their opponents. But when both teams are in violation then how much of an advantage did one really get? The Cavs were in prime position to get both boards. They just got outhustled.

The NBA would probably draw more viewers just talking about the Lakers on ESPN/ABC during that timeslot and airing the actual Finals games on NBA TV. I'm assuming most Americans can't even find Indianapolis and OKC on a map.

At this point I just assumed they were being purposely obtuse. If I have ever seen a double lane violation turned into a jump ball, I certainly don't remember it. So I wasn't going to respond, but you are correct
