Not to worry ... this board will find something else to get hysterical about pretty quickly.

Don't you make a guarantee every day now.
I'll see you in the finals in our OA!

ESPN NBA - Bobcats to hire St. John's assistant Mike Dunlap as head coach, sources told Chris Broussard
http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketb ... ike-dunlapNo one saw this coming.
The new head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats is … St. John's assistant Mike Dunlap.
Dunlap edged out Indiana Pacers assistant Brian Shaw and Los Angeles Lakers assistant and ex-Missouri head coach Quin Snyder, CBSSports.com has confirmed. The news was first reported by The Charlotte Observer.
Dunlap is considered one of the brightest minds in basketball. Period. It appeared as though he committed career suicide a few years ago when he turned down the opportunity to become the interim coach at Arizona following Lute Olson's health issues. Russ Pennell took the interim tag, but it was Dunlap who assumed most of the actual on-court coaching duties.
Big words.

Hey bill, I’m not familiar with dennis lindsey or jeff bower, but who’s the better of the two? And why isn’t Brian shaw the frontrunner for head coach?
Bill Ingram
Lindsey is arguably the better of the two, having come up in the San Antonio system. Lindsey, though, will want control and final say, whereas Bower would likely be more of a team guy, willing to let Martins and Foyle make some of the decisions. Bower built the Hornets team that looked like contenders a couple of years ago, and also drafted very well. As far as I’ve heard, Shaw is a frontrunner, but the Magic are waiting to see what happens with Scott Brooks in OKC.
Has anybody heard anything about this??? I personally put Brooks in the Spolestra mold, being carried by overwhelming talent and grossly outcoached by the Doc/pops of the world
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

thats funny because those two coaches each came back from being down in each series with the adjustments they made.
Brooks completely outcoached POP the last 4 games of that series, i swear you guys just shoot off and don't pay attention sometimes....

I don't know about that, but, I wouldn't mind Brooks here. He does make some questionable rotation sometimes though.
I do, however, like the fact that he cares about the offense as much as he cares about the defense.

About a week I saw on wiretap that the sixers wanted 3pt shooters and i proposed we send them Ryan......great minds think alike. Anderson for iggy please.
yeah I know kinda being sarcastic....kinda....iggy probably isn't enough to convince Howard to stay and honestly i think wed have to give up too much for him. If Phila is serious about getting Ryan they'll fall into the troy Murphy/Austin croshere trap and over pay him....god I hope we dont match.glennathan wrote:Blue_and_Whte wrote:About a week I saw on wiretap that the sixers wanted 3pt shooters and i proposed we send them Ryan......great minds think alike. You would have to do more than Anderson. Maybe Anderson and JJ for Iggy just to make the salaries match.
But then think of this, is Iggy enough to make Dwight want to stay?
