with Gafford and Wendell Carter Jr's deals Timelord is looking like a steal. if he stays healthy he is way better than either of those for nearly the same $$.

This Simmons stuff is just too good. Who is advising him to act like such a child? Is he not capable of being an adult? Now we need some more Kyrie drama. I’m sure KD or Harden will lash out when the Nets hit a rough patch.

Also, it’s hard not to like Embiid through all this. He just keeps saying what we’re all thinking.

Came on here to write the same thing. Dear lord, even if Timelord never gets to be more than a ~20-24 MPG guy I'd much rather have his deal than those.

Oh, I think the Sixers will cave, and Rich Paul knows it. The team can suspend Simmons off and on, but he will get paid the bulk of his contract while sulking his way out of Philadelphia. Someone in Sixers ownership has to grow a pair and sue to invalidate the entire contract. But they are afraid of retaliation from Klutch.

all three are low end starters or great backup types and are getting paid accordingly. I'm not sure he's way better now but he does have higher upside and more untapped potential and if he reaches it he'll be a steal. Horford and Kanter will eat into his minutes at least this season so I don't expect him to outperform his contract at least initially. All three contracts are trade ballast for a future trade. Not one of these players could be long for their current teams.

Nets defense is atrocious!

I don't think KD will get a ring in Brooklyn if they continue with the Nash-D'Antoni system.

If he’s refusing to practice, how do you not continue to suspend him? If he practices, then maybe play him. Also, why invalidate the contract? Presumably he has some value. Maybe not what they want, but more than just walking away from the contract.

What value does he have at this point? Plenty of teams are interested, but only at a fire sale price. If that were not the case, Simmons would be gone already. And it's clear that he's not going to be a good soldier to increase his trade value.

Would you rather have Buddy Hield and filler (substitute the comparable package of your choice) or 33M off your cap?

In fact, he won one with an injured Kyrie and Harden….

I know it's only game one and the Box are missing some players but overall I agree this could be Boston's year no 1 is so unbearable. We just have to put it together

With or without cryry Irving I just don't see the nets as having enough defense to win everything. Of the top 5 or 6 contenders they have to have the worst defense

Not that its an option anymore, but I cant believe they turned down Brogdon, Levert and a 1st (allegedly). That is not a world beating deal, but its solid and a much better fit with Embiid
