It genuinely cannot be overstated how absolutely horrifically rotten Terrence Ross and Gary Harris have been for the Magic.

Terrence Ross has a -21.6 NET in 264 minutes played. Harris has only played 105 minutes, but has somehow been even worse than Ross, putting up a -38.6 NET.

These numbers are just so jarringly bad. Ross needs to be traded and Harris needs to be mercifully removed from the rotation as soon as possible.
Both players are trying to do too much.

I like Ross, but I think it's better for his career if he went to a veteran team. The Clippers have a few young players, maybe Ross for Keon Johnson and a filler.

My guess is we may get a video of Isaac practicing with the team today.

Yeah, I love Ross and appreciate what he did in his limited time here, but it's time to trade him.

He loves Orlando and Orlando loves him, but we should do right by him and put him on a contender. He clearly doesn't want to be a part of yet another rebuild. So it's time to trade him and get what we can from him.

Harris has been awful since before joining this team though. Need to move him this deadline for sure.

I do believe we will end up moving both for sure this deadline. It just makes too much sense. We'll be bad, with or without them.

Ross was unlucky enough to spend 2 opening blowout games on the court with him doing little to add to ongoing beatdown. He had plus minus of - 66 in two games where he scored nice amount of points and shot fine.

Harris is living corpse, i don't know what people expected. Guy looks like this for years. Almost every game he has 1 play where he looks alive, but in very next he looks drained from energy.

And it doesn't help that almost half of their PT is with RJ Hampton, who is story for another day.

As for them not being interested for giving much energy, can you blame them? Very few vets want to be part of rebuild without being ugly overpayed for services of glorified babysitting

Minus injuries, I cannot see Harris getting any more playing time this season.

His purpose no is simply to be an expiring contract. I think this is his last ever year in the NBA.

Nothing to talk about mate, half these guys won't be on the roster by the time it's competitive, and the guys who are won't won't the same players. Even if we land #1 pick a class full of bigs means at least another 3 seasons until we compete...

There's a lot of stuff to do in Orlando, especially since it's nice outside right now. I'd rather go to the park than constantly watch Jalen's growing pains in getting hounded by the world's best athletes.

I mean the Jazz, our next opponent, made Okeke fall down based on ball movement alone and he's one of the bright spots on this team, XD.

He'll probably start today if Cole is out.

If Harris gets a contract next season with any team I will be truly shocked.

Ennis is actually servicable and he didn't so my guess is that Harris is gone from nba after this year. Maybe Nuggets pick him up from pitty reasons on vets minimum.

I think Harris will still get a contract of two after this. Minimum.

He is a good locker room guy which is valuable to re-building teams.

I think DEN will give him the minimum for his locker room presence.

I know we are only 11 games in, but I've really enjoyed the bright spots.
WCJ = quiet beast. 14 & 11, 40% from 3.
Franz, set the bar low in SL, but he's flown over it. Just a good basketball player.
Bamba, I think he's taken some consistency up over the last few games.
Cole, Let's pray this just isn't a long hot streak.
Coach Mosley, not over playing the Vets, but also keeping the young players accountable.

Last year, I could only pick 3 things to look forward to.
Cole & Okeke, our rookies and Fultz.
Then Fultz went down and the season went to crap.

This year, every night there a few bright spots.
The fact that the 2 last wins were via comebacks shows the fight is in this team.
2nd half of the season, I could only take about a half of a game, now I can't turn it off,
because we might win even if we're down 10+!

I love the above analytics that F-Suggs/Suggs, F-Wagner/Anthony, and Suggs/Anthony all work. That means any two without the other works.

That is resilience, and gosh do the Magic need that.

yep.

It was weird, the other night when we played Boston. Their announcers were legit worried that we'd win.
"they got some players" "Don't let them get hot".

December will be a real test, we've faded then in the past. I like that Coach doesn't have anyone playing over 34MPG, but 9 players are getting 18+MPG. Allows him to ride someone who is hot, (RJ or Harris last night).

I just feel like the players are actually getting better from the start of the season, especially that it seems like RJ is coming out of his slump. Next, need to see Okeke have a breakout game.

Still have no idea how to manage this team's minutes once Fultz and J.I. are back. At least they should be slowly worked in like Okeke.

guys thrive in different environments...he doesn't need to be out of the NBA-just out of our rotation. :D He'll always be valued for defense, maturity, and the threat of shooting likely takes a long time to vanish if you've ever been hot.

I have no doubt TRoss will "flame on" again when he lands with a playoff team. Look at Jeff Green's career...he was solid every year but one :banghead: (was probably his highest paid year too).

Anyone looking at our starting 5 numbers?

"The Orlando Magic starting 5 lineup has the best plus minus in the NBA at +48 in 125 minutes. The Orlando Magic bench players have the worst combined plus minus in the NBA at -74 in 187 minutes. The starting lineup has an average age of 21 years, and no player older than 23.

The lineup also has (with >50mins):

the best net rating in the NBA at +18.1
the 2nd best defensive rating in the NBA at 91.9
the 11th best offensive rating in the NBA at 110"

Just add Fultz and Isaac to the bench and we've got a stew going.

I'd try to get Flynn from Toronto. He is basically out of the rotation now because he doesn't fit what they are trying to do and they just added a couple big and long ball handlers this past offseason (Barnes and Banton). They benched Dragic and Flynn still isn't getting minutes, but he has mastered college, summer league, and G league. He needs NBA minutes at this point if he is going to develop and we could give him 20-25 minutes a night right now. He doesn't have an NBA body, but he can run your offense and we need another ball handler. He should be a capable backup PG for a long time to come.

We could send Ross back to Toronto in exchange. We'd be doing right by Ross. They need shooting. He gets to play for a team with higher aspirations than our own. Ross becomes completely superfluous for us when Moore is healthy. There aren't enough vet minutes at the wings for Ross, Harris, and Moore.

Agreed, he easily has a spot in this league.
