The Suns or the Celtics?

The Celtics are now at the point where they can't add any significant pieces like Beal or Dame with these second round picks without sending out legitimate talent in exchange.

Well sure but the 2RP for for greasing the wheels on big moves. It's not the main asset. They are worth about what a FRP was worth 5-6 years ago

https://heavy.com/sports/boston-celtics/james-harden-proposed-trade-former-mvp/

With Marcus Smart gone, the Boston Celtics are in need of a playmaker on the team to fill the void. If that’s their main intention with the time remaining left in the offseason, ESPN’s Kevin Pelton floated Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden as someone they could look into.

Pelton proposed the following trade between the two sides that would send the 2018 NBA MVP to the Celtics.

Celtics receive: James Harden

Sixers receive: Malcolm Brogdon, Robert Williams III

Pelton gave the full details on how a trade would work.

“A trade would probably have to involve Malcolm Brogdon and Robert Williams III, with the latter a candidate to
be rerouted to a third team given his overlap with Embiid at center.”

Today is the day Champagnie Can finally be part of a trade!

If Brad has been keeping his powder dry that may be the spark to trigger a trade or two.

Hopefully we can end up toasting with champagne :)

I wouldn’t take Harden for free at this point, and hope PHI resigns him. Or keeps him and he busts out the fat suit again.

Here is a list of big men that I could find. I'm sure there are others, and I'm sure some these guys may not still be available. Please add or delete as you see fit. Anyway, out of this list who would like for the 15th roster spot and who you like for a 2-way spot. (Sorry but too many to do a poll) I believe all of these guys are unrestricted free agents, except Isaiah Mobley (RFA was on 2-way) I think we could get any of them with a minimum offer.

Blake Griffin
Azubuike from our SL team
Balcerowski from our SL team
Valerio Bodon from our SL team (I know he is a forward, but is a solid 6'9, so I'm including him)
Cauley-Stein
Moses Brown
Bol Bol
Isaiah Mobley from Clevland
Dewayne Dedmon
Yurtseven from Miami

I would like to see, depending on summer league performances, Balcerowski as the 15th roster spot. I heard that he will not except a 2-way spot because of the money he would lose but maybe he would except a regular roster spot. Valerio-Bodon and Yurtseven on 2-way contracts would be great. We could still have another PG in the 3rd 2-way spot. This of course is moot, if we move Brogdon or Pritchard, or sign another wing.

I would have thought it hard to get any of those Euros to give up money for a 2-way.

Yup

Agree. Very awkward last year for Jaylen Brown to be mentioned in a possible KD trade. Wonder if it came from Nets or Durant's agent.

I don't understand the tweet. The Celtics are not publicly shutting down any rumors, so why is all that telling him that that's what the FO learned?

Just in the East:

- The Bucks have 4 past or current ASs, a past league MVP, and loads of NBA champions. Plus an NBA champion and exec of the year GM.

- The Heat have 5 past or current ASs before maybe adding Dame and loads of NBA champions. Plus NBA champion and exec of the year GM and NBA champion and exec of the year coach.

Those teams aren't as young as the C's, but their winning experience likely gives them an advantage. Where is the C's NBA championship experience? League MVP? Their exec and coach of the year winners?

The Bucks roster is not great. The older guys are showing their age and they probably should have tried to upgrade Middleton. I know I know if they had Middleton all season they would have went 82-0. But yeah you take Boston all day.

Miami with Dame? Yeah they're definitely the favorite to win it all.

All 3 of Porzingis/Horford/Rob would have to be out before I’d ever want any of those guys to play.

White / Banton
Brown / Pritchard
Hauser
Tatum / Brisset
(Whichever one of the top 3 bigs is healthy) / Kornet

I’d run that 9 man rotation before I played any of those guys tbh.

That GSW pick in 2024 could be huge.

GSW is a sinking ship.

A top 10 pick could be in store for the Cs in 2024.

Those dame tweets are lame.

He uses IG live all season/offseason to spread messages via his mouth. But when he knew the message he spread was going to upset a lot of NBA fans he let Chris Haynes and others do it. Now he is still getting backlash and he throws all these reporters he used under the bus.

JB may be lacking in the IQ department, but if you swap JB for Dame, it will be like the Kemba days on defense.

Dame is horrible on defense.

It'll actually improve our defense since Tatum will be the one replacing Jaylen Brown.
We'll be going from Brogdon - White - Jaylen - Tatum - Porzingis as our best offensive lineup to Dame - White - Tatum - Porzingis - Rob/Horford while getting better offensively also.

If Dame is headed to Miami, grab ECF MVP Caleb Martin in the process. Pritchard, Kornet, two 2nds for Martin. Grab best FA 3rd string PG and C available.

White | Brown | Tatum | Porzingis | Timelord
Brogdon | Martin | Hauser | Brissett | Horford

Moses Moody or Gary Payton 2 into the TPE for 2 seconds.

Warrior save money, with all the repeater taxes its a good bit even though their salaries are small. 1 or the other is going too be burried in GS.

Boston would add scoring off the bench,.

Still have to do something with Pritchard.

Brogdon/Pritchard/Banton
White/Moody/Walsh
Brown/Walsh/Hauser
Tatum/Horford/Brisset
Porzingas/Timelord/Kornet

Noticed you've recently come over to the KP/Timelord side of the argument.

I was going to pose the question on what folks think will happen with Pritchard. He's in the last year of his rookie deal, that another factor that makes me want to deal him.
