lol no offence but that sounds asinine we don’t even know where teams are picking
No measurements no interviews etc there is no chance in HLL that’s remotely true
There are four to five high potential players that have showcase better

I agree that he wouldn't take him top 3 (I think he would still take Ace in that scenario, just too much potential to pass on and will continue to fit next to Scottie no matter what decision BI might make in a few years time) buuut I don't agree that he wouldn't take him if we fell to 10, I really don't know but there's no way I rule it out.

I understand that we all have our preferences and players we don't want but we literally just brought in Chomche who wasn't anywhere remotely near as "highly touted" as Khaman. Chomche didn't even play in a respectable league before entering the league and is on another level of rawness even from Khaman. So I don't rule out that Masai takes a kid that got recruited to the top program in college to be their starter and did a solid job at it with plenty of physical tools. Again I get it if you don't like him personally, that's fine & fair, we don't have to all love the same prospects but I just doubt that Masai has completely ruled him out especially when we know how much it means to him personally to see African born players make it (and I'm not saying that to be critical of him, it's just true).

"Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri told ESPN that the Basketball Africa League (BAL) will grow into a league capable of producing players that can play in the NBA regular season, but urged patience with its development efforts."

7th twice
8th twice
9th once.

Problem is, that is a small sample size.

And completely irrelevant. The odds remain the same every draft. We have a 30% chance of getting into the top 4.

Traore is the best playmaker/passer in this draft.

His shooting and defense remain a work in progress, but I like his mechanics.

Clearly defense is the difference between winning and losing for this team.

I'll be a believer in whoever Masai drafts because he's the best at it.

But man..... I just don't see us drafting Kasparas.

I highly doubt it lol, if you watched any footage on him, there's nothing particularly special about him athletically, physically (listed as 6'5 but looks pretty thin) or skillwise (pretty awkward looking jumper for a SG).

Both of those guys physically stood out & though Coulibaly & Saluan are being lumped together as late risers, Bilal played for the U19 national team and higher level competition in general. But as mentioned both guys were physical standouts, this Sarr is not that.

Why not?

As a PG he looks great and athleticism won't be a big issue there since he's got skills and size.

How high could Walter Clayton Jr realistically go in this draft? Could he sneak into the lottery? I see a lot of Lillard in his game.

Top 20, hard to break into the lottery just with the lack of PG team needs and his slow rise probably won't make him leapfrog guys like fears or even Kasperus

Dallas @ 14 - Might need a Kyrie replacement, definitely need some scoring/shooting on the perimeter to go with their bigs. Nico might be desperate to draft someone who can play right away.

Orlando @ 16 - Pure shooting decision, they need 3s badly, they have bigger guards in Suggs and Black to make it work defensively, they tried to stay big and get their 3s from Jett Howard and that failed, might be finally willing to sacrifice a bit on length. Sets up using Cole Anthony's final year (team option after) in a deal for a wing or shooting big, like a KD deal or whatever.

are the 2 teams in the top 20 or so that really stick out to me as fits. Wizards at 17, Brooklyn at 18 could do it too, they have multiple picks and just need to draft whoever they think might be a starting level player.

People sound like Clayton is the only PG.
How certain people are Clayton above Philon or Sergio de Larrea?
