Josh Selby declared. If he falls to the second round, I'd take him.

Chad Ford at ESPN had an Insider article about the Lottery teams and what they might do. Had Bobcats looking at Walker or Knight, but said a sleeper was Leonard, whom teams see as being a Gerald Wallace-like player.

As intrigued as I am with BB, something just scares the crap out of me about him. I wish I could see more of him rather than just reading snippets in articles. But so far, everything I read says he is solid as a defender and rebounder, but his offensive game is very raw and at least a couple years away from being NBA productive at all. To me, this just screams Diop. Except I will give you that BB has the potential to become offensively productive whereas I have no hope for Diop. But is that type of player worth the risk on #9? Right now, I am not convinced of it. I think I would much rather take a safer bet with less "potential" before I take BB at #9. Again, this may change if he comes into Rookie Draft camp and kicks some butt. But I have to see it to even begin to start to believe it.

If youreally wish you can look around and find links to his games.

If Biyombo is SO good, why is he just now, a couple of months before the draft, shooting up the boards?

That alone is enough to scare me off.

I would not take him either. Too risky. Reminds me of Reggie Evans. We need a home run with our 1st pick. Not a project.

I have been saying the same thing I don't know why anyone would waste the number nine pick on a player who is not even projected in the lottery by anyone. Besides I don't care how good he blocks shots. No 6'8 centers without an offensive game.

Number nine is kind of high for him though. Drafting inside the top 10 we need a home run pick. Scoring, Scoring, Scoring and if some is available let's see if we can find some scoring. Remember guys we are constantly at the bottom of the league in scoring. Defenders and shot blockers we got. We need to be looking at scorers and playmakers with every pick even the second round joint.

No it isn't.

With the way people have been pulling out from this already weak draft. 9 is right about perfect for him considering the "Euro potential" guys. He's the 3rd or 4th best American prospect in the draft.

Scorers can be had in the second round (look at how many come from the second round). Proper defense is harder to teach than shooting. Even though I agree that we need shooters, I wouldn't pass on Leonard if he's the best available at nine.

If it hadn't been for Carroll's resurgence at the end of the season, I would be pressing for Alec Burks right now. I still think we draft Kemba if he falls to nine, otherwise grabbing Vesely, Leonard, or Jones makes sense.

I would try to trade that 19th pick to someone. Dream scenario: a team is desperate for the 19th and they offer up a deal like this (using Nets as the example).

CHA: 19th pick, 39th pick, Diop
NJ: 27th pick, 35th pick, Petro

Didn't Avery Johnson coach Diop in Dallas? If so, this trade makes sense for both sides.

Kemba "falls" to nine? God help the fool that drafts him that high.

????

That's like suggesting that once Larry Clown lands on another team he would want to trade for Diop because he coached him on the Bobcats.

Is it just me or does Bitchsmack sound like Emeka Okafor if Emeka Okafor played with aggression?

Here is my 1st attempt at a mock this year. Obviously not knowing who is staying in the draft and who is going back to school combined with not knowing the lottery results just yet makes this really loose, but it's a start!!

T-Wolves: Irving
Cavs: Barnes
Raps: Williams
Wizards: P.Jones
Kings: Knight
Jazz: Vesely
Cavs: Burks
Pistons: Walker
Bobcats: Kanter
Bucks: Motiejunas
Warriors: T.Jones
Jazz: Jimmer
Suns: Biyombo
Rockets: Leonard
Pacers: N.Smith
Sixers: T.Thompson
Knicks: Thompkins
Wizards: Mack
Bobcats: Hamilton
T-Wolves: Singleton
Blazers: Marcus Morris
Nuggets: JaJuan Johnson
Rockets: Tobias Harris
Thunder: Harper
Celtics: Leslie
Mavs: Faried
Nets: Jordan Williams
Bulls: Brooks
Spurs: Honeycutt
Bulls: Sleby

Not saying this IS how the draft will play out, just saying what makes most sense for all the teams to me.

If we get both Kanter and Hamilton in the 1st round, it will be a very very productive draft for us. I would likely crap myself for joy.

Yep. And that was a shock. Everyone expected him to be a 1 and done from the time he announced he was going to Baylor. And he has to serve a suspension at the beginning of the season for improper benefits on top of it. Did not expect him to go back to school.
