Nope ivDT, my sources are telling me that GM Hennigan carefully reviewed and found that as of 7/15/12 at 5:13:26 PM, that any scenario at all of a Houston offer is not appealing enough. Take that for what it's worth.

just saw the houston stats for tonight and im still lovin what lamb is doing. my order of preference in return from the rox are
1.lamb
2. montejunas
3a.parsons
3b. terrence jones
4.white
5. the rest
if we deal with the rox we have to get 1 and 2 and at least 3 picks or 2 picks and jones/parsons

I have no dog in this fight but I hope you guys get the best deal you can(most likely from Houston), and some promising young players to start the rebuild. Unfortunately, most of todays stars and superstars are of the AAU generation and from the time they're like 11 or 12 they are told how great they are, in addition to never being told no, which only fosters a sense of entitlement. Of the big three sports (Football, Baseball, Basketball) it seems this is more prevalent in Basketball, and I think the AAU culture is largely responsible for this. The AAU coaches have more power and influence with these young players than their HS school coaches.

Dwight is simply another example of a coddled and immature kid who has always got what he wanted and when he wanted it, and now that things are not going his way he is upset and essentially throwing a tantrum. The sad thing is you have despicable human beings (in addition to being a horrible owner) like Donald T Sterling get rewarded with a guy like Blake Griffin and then thanks to David Stern get one of the top 5 PG's in the game in CP3, and yet a respectable and good man in RD and your organization has to deal with yet another superstar wanting out/leaving.

Couldn't agree more. It's very prevalent in basketball and is a big problem. It's because these guys are good at almost every level. It's their "friends" who they develop that are horrible influences.

Does anyone else not care about clearing cap space right now? Unless were getting Bynum i just don't see the point. Yeah Josh Smith and Iggy are gonna want to be apart of our rebuilding effort..lol. If pushing J-rich or Turk on the Rockets costs us Parsons or Lamb i'll be pissed.

Yea. If we're just getting youngins and draft picks, there's no point in trying to get rid of Hedo and Duhon. Jrich, yea, because he's on for 3 more years... thanks Otis. But unless we get a star back and are intending to rebuild quick into contention, then just let Hedo and Duhon expire. No need to try to send them out, n give a reason for the other team to use that as an asset.

Give Houston Dwight and Jrich. Bring back Parsons, Lamb, 3 picks, and I guess Kmart and filler to make it work out salary cap wise, and call it a day.

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
Jameer Nelson won't hold his Making Magic week this summer because as of early July he wasn't sure he was going to return.

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
The Making Magic week usually takes a long time to plan. Nelson didn't have time to plan a week for this year.

and if we're starting over from scratch (houston trade), why do we need a more capable pg?

Nelson and the Magic will be playing for a new head coach and staff, and the squad could be filled with young players in need of direction. None of that matters to Nelson, who said he will look to lead the Magic in the future just as he had in the past when shared the captain role with Dwight Howard and the team was composed of mostly veteran players.

``I look at my role as being a leader regardless of the circumstance,’’ Nelson said. ``I don’t see there being different levels of leadership. You either lead or you don’t. On and off the court, I’m a professional. I’m not a yeller or screamer, but I’ll pull a guy aside and try to help them in that way as much as I can. I just want to continue to be a great leader for this team.’’

Nelson’s professionalism, locker room leadership and skill on the court are a couple of reasons why new Magic General Manager Rob Hennigan put a premium on re-signing Nelson, 30, this offseason. The Magic want Nelson, who has played all eight of his NBA seasons in Orlando, to be one of the faces of the franchise in the coming years.

this is a bummer. Seeing how we're gonna have a team full of rookies, this would've been a good opportunity to build team chemistry.

"If" - who knows what our roster will be come training camp.

We also need these to guys, if the Houston kids are coming over, to learn from Jameer's never say die attitude.

@JuiceMayo32 (O.J. Mayo) he is going to be signing with the Mavericks. Great pick up for them. Mark Cuban's backup plan has been solid.
