Man, Nuggets are gonna be a load to handle in the coming years. Not many players to guard Jokic, and Murray is a strong, strong #2, and MPJ has so much potential as well. This team basically has the potential to be a Dirk/Nash flanked by Melo type of offense.

This dude man...
Lebrons turnovers have been really low it seems, pretty impressive.
Hats off to Denver, they never die

Yeah wouldnt be surprised by a sweep in the finals
I called Lakers going on a 16-4 or 16-3 before the playoffs started and ppl thought i was crazy
Yeah, surely the Finals has to be a sweep? Would be weird to see a team with Lebron and AD not sweep a single series throughout the playoffs.
In my pre-playoff bracket predictions, I had Lakers 4-0 Portland, 4-2 Rockets, 4-1 Clippers, 4-0 Bucks. So 16-3, though got 2 of the opponents wrong. People through you/we were crazy because they hadn't yet (and some still haven't) grasped the magnitude of pairing up Lebron and AD, Lakers just outtalent every other team by a clear margin.

Melo was doing alot more on the ball even as a rookie, with drives and isos. Mpjs handles arent good and he cant really get low on his drives too
Mpj is more of a catch and shoot and offball player. Great rebounder already tho
Maybe he'll develop but i think his offense is always gonna rely alot on Jokic/Murray creating for him

Tonight was a masterpiece
AD wasn’t even very impressive and we won in a somewhat easy manner
4 more wins...

LeBron is now 38-10 in closeout games, the best in NBA history. I think Horry has 40 series wins and Fisher 39. I don’t think anyone has more though Kareem would have most likely and more if they payed more rounds in the ‘70s and early ‘80s
LeBron, 38-10
Duncan, 35-14
Wade, 22-9
Shaq, 33-14
Jordan, 30-13
Kareem, 37-16
Magic, 32-14
Durant, 21-10
Kobe, 33-16
Bill Russell 25-16
Bird, 22-17
Dr. J, 24-21
Curry, 19-9
Kawhi 17-10
Hakeem, 16-10
Wilt, 18-17
K. Malone, 19-24
LeBron is 16-1 in his last 17 closeout games.

It'll be interesting to see who gets finals MVP between Lebron and AD.

Jinxing? I don't believe in superstitious nonsense. Not to mention I don't particularly like the Lakers so even if I was "jinxing" them I'd not really care. I just call it as I see it. Just like previous series, the Finals is a complete mismatch with the Lakers being clearly superior so a sweep is definitely on the table.

Man I would love to be proven wrong, but I really think people in here are underestimating the Heat. I think they'll be tougher than any of the first 3 rounds. They're just so much more imposing defensively than Portland/Houston/Denver IMO. And Spo has a hell of a jumpstart gameplanning for a LeBron team. Like I said, hope I'm wrong . . . but I expect it to be a dogfight.

Re: The Lebron '20 Thread (Pt. 7)
If LeBron leads the Lakers to a championship this year, then he will have led more championship-winning teams than anyone except for Russell, Jordan, and perhaps Duncan, despite playing eleven years for one of the most inept franchises in all of professional sports and going up against the greatest four-year team of all-time.
At that point, the "killer instinct" crowd will have to make one of two concessions:
1. Killer instinct doesn't actually matter as much as people always say it does, because if LeBron doesn't have it and still drove this much winning, then it clearly isn't all that important.
2. LeBron has actually had killer instinct this whole time, because if it's truly essential to winning, and LeBron drove this much winning, then he must have had it.
Honestly, the "killer instinct" thing became kind of lame a few years ago, but if Los Angeles wins the championship... Good luck to anyone still talking about that.

Anyone still holding onto “lebron has no killer instinct” at this point will never be convinced otherwise no matter what. He’s the best closeout/elimination game player ever. He has more playoff game winners than Jordan and Kobe combined. He’s clutch as hell. They’re just haters who will never admit they’re wrong.

Yup. A sweep isn’t even on my list of possibilities for this series. Or the Celtics, for that matter. Both present major challenges IMO, primarily the bodies they can throw at LeBron.

Killer instinct is such a load of bs. People love to attach that title to players like Kobe who isn't actually more clutch than Lebron. Lebron actually does a lot better in clutch shooting and honestly it mostly comes down to decision making. Lebron will take better shots or pass the ball to the open man. He is unselfish and more importantly he is a greater playmaker than a Kobe or Jordan. On the other hand we will see Kobe shoot a 30 footer fadeaway over two-three defenders.
Don't get me wrong I have Jordan as GOAT for now and naturally Kobe is also top 10 or so but this killer instinct is basically a load of nonsense.

The Heat are really good, but they don't have a superb offensive player.
They have great sets and run great offense, but talent will win out in the end.
Lakers have the 2 best players in the series and they also play great defense.
Heat would win 1 game max IMO.

I think Boston would be a tougher matchup. The Heat are too small and dont have a potent offensive weapon. It also allows the Lakers to play small all game which opens up their offense a chit ton
