Probably? Hill led the NBA in 3 point shooting last year and also provides great defense. Augustine isn't on the same planet as Hill.
Portis was a good depth signing though.
Great points. Augustine is a sieve. Portis is certainly a good piece but they've lost so much of their shooting depth. Giannis must be so thrilled
Portis is a good piece....of crap!
Hope he breaks up that locker room

My bet is we move on to Ibaka, and then someone like Noel/Bismack/Giles

Re: Free Agency Thread **NOW OPEN**
FREDDY!! Very reasonable deal when you consider some of the money being thrown at the likes of Jerami Grant lol. Let's grab Serge and then use our MLE for some front court depth

I can see that. But I pick those guys over Baynes simply because Baynes has been very prone to injury, and he is quite a bit older. With the other guys, there could be some untapped or hidden potential. Not much...but maybe some?
Bit of a low risk, medium reward kind of thing.

I also think a backup wing that can play the 3/4 should be on the list if possible.
I am now very curious about what direction our offseason will go. Let the games begin!

So if we get ibaka back too, how much are we gonna have left to spend? Full MLE?

Amazing deal on Fred, I am so happy he took a decent deal. How much money do we have left to give Ibaka without going into Luxury tax on a 1+1 deal with team option next year
The key is Raps dont want to be in tax this year which will limit what they give Ibaka

Possible. The roster is really out of balance. Too many guards and way too thin in the front court. Wouldn’t be surprised if we make a trade somewhere. Wonder if we could steal Turner from Indiana

That's how I see it. Our guard rotation is very deep imo. But we are thin at the wing and the frontcourt. I'd target bringing back Serge and then splitting our MLE between a 3/4 as you've suggested and Nerlens Noel or another 5.

i think if they decide to keep davis, norm has to be on the move.
if davis is waived, then they just keep norm.

Yup agreed. Ideally we keep Davis and use Norm to help bolster the front court. I’d hate to have to lose a prospect like TD

I am not sure I can see Norm being traded - just because he is an actual rotation piece and I am not sure I see anyone on the roster that could possibly replace that.
Not to mention, he is on a 1 year deal, and anything we get back would likely interfere with our flexibility next offseason, or just be a similar type of deal in a position of need - and I am not sure what the options for that are/would be.

Norm will be traded either soon or by the deadline they wont want to have him opt in next year or pay him a big new contract
