-.9 D-Raptor

Opponents shoots .7% better with Tatum as the defender.

Maybe he’s a good defender on eyetest, against the Sixers or past memory. But its not ridiculous to say Tatum is an average defender at best this season.

And those numbers already is based on the fact that Celts likes to hide Tatum on defense to conserve his energy on offense.

Tatum is a slightly better defender than Embiid (5.21 vs 4.83 DRPM).

Advanced defensive metrics for individual players are not on the stage to be trusted yet.

Also, the idea the Celtics hide Tatum when he was guarding the best perimeter player of the opposing team on the playoffs is kind of funny.

The scheme Boston used to defend last season doesn't allow for players to be hidden because all the guys switched and rotated to defend.

Maybe this season Tatum looks worse on defense, but that's also a result of the entire Celtics defense getting worse.

He’s lowkey playing well the entire season in stls, shooting %s. Cheap Melton replacement if Melton asks for big money

Wright would be a great pickup to replace Shake. They can worry about replacing Melton summer 24.

KD can’t catch a break from injuries, might miss another 4-6 weeks. I can’t see Phoenix advancing far with so little time to build chemistry on top of bottom-tier depth. They maybe have 6 playoff rotation worthy guys.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

Won't be injuries from carrying teams, that's for sure, as he joined superteams non stop.

I'll admit that I was lower on Haliburton than I should have been, even as recently as last year...

... but Sabonis turned the Kings around. They have actually exceeded my expectations. He was such a logical fit for this team.

I dont think they’re gonna win even when healthy. Teams needs a season to see what the teams are going to throw at them in the playoffs.

Haliburton has had season high free throw attempts in 3 out of the last 4 games. And low and behold, they're 2-1 in those games with just a tough loss to the elite 76ers holding them back from being undefeated. It's no secret that an aggressive Haliburton is the key to them actually winning basketball games. The problem is, far too often, he's passive and deferential by nature. Catching Pacers games on any kind of scheduled basis will show that Mathurin is far and away their alpha engine. Need to see Haliburton sustain the aggressive attacking nature.

De'Aaron Fox has officially entered my hall of fame trajectory plane. Excited for him to begin his journey of attempting to make a mark in the postseason.

Yea, I feel like we've known it was there, but they have had trash around him for too long. 58% from 2FG this year is insane. Kinda funny that no one wanted to do Fox for Simmons straight up last year.

Simmons for Haliburton or Fox was an obvious steal last year because it was clear Ben has come off the rails. Getting anything of star value was always going to be a steal.

They are 30-37 and with Haliburton injured went on a 1-10 run.

The reality is, if Haliburton doesn't get injured the Pacers probably have a winning record and hover around 6-8 in the standings.

Mathurin can score but he's below average efficiency and his 3% is bad for the volume of shots he takes. He's obviously gonna improve as he's a rookie, but he's not conducting the team to wins as Haliburton is

Legit makes me feel nauseous thinking of all the Philly homers who weren't interested in trading Ben for either of them. Not talking about this forum, but people in my personal life, office, etc.

The love most Sixers fans had for Bum Simmons is just laughable, the red flags he had with his refusal to shoot, attitude concerns in college, shooting with the wrong hand, lack of improvement (in fact regression in PO) are ALWAYS a bad indicator.

Ben Simmons for Jonathon Simmons would have still been a steal for us. So thats not that high of a standard

Reg season style of play fits Hali a lot. But in the playoffs, you need a guy like Fox. And specially a guy like Harden.

The whole thing was fake, I was always against Simmons, from drafting him to anything that was about him.
