It might be time to put a package together for Towns. Get to work Zach.

Interested in Kelly Oubre. During the month of Feb he scored 20 ppg on 50/43/74. He's definitely turning it around. He's the same age/at the same point in his career as Zach.

Personally I'd be willing to Flip Lauri + Felicio for Oubre + Looney. Looney is a competent backup, and moving him takes some money off their tax bill moving forward.

Yesssss... I’ve been preaching Oubre, but I’m not sure if it’s necessary to trade an important piece for him when he is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. The Warriors are so far over the cap paying Curry, Green, Thompson, that there is no way they can afford to resign Oubre.

Personally, I love Oubre’s potential and think he should be one of the top players targeted in the offseason. 6’7” G/F with a 7+’ wingspan and freakish athleticism. He’s already a great defender and his offense is coming along. Sign me up.

Yeah, Oubre is gonna get the crazy contract that Otto was supposedly getting next offseason. I'd rather pay Oubre $30M than Lauri $20M because there's little opportunity cost for that $10M.

Well I'm not sure why GSW would trade him for anything we have not named Lauri. He's already expiring, and it's not like we have any young, locked up assets to swap for him. At least Lauri gives them a surefire asset moving forward, should they so choose to extend or match him.

I really like Will Barton from Denver, he is a solid veteran. Nice rotational guy next to Pat and Lavine; over Oubre.

The Bulls have registered interest in Drummond, sources said. Cleveland has had some exploratory calls on Drummond, but skepticism remains on whether the team can find a desirable trade. The center is owed $28.7 million this season.

Yikes. Seems like I have to avoid this thread until the deadline.

Your lips to Gods ears. My thought is that if we can flip Thad for a first we can offer 3 FRP and Wendell plus the expiring of OPJ.

Barton is a classic GarPax signing. Safe - low ceiling.

Pssshhhh...That’s nothing. You should see the number of awful LaVine trade proposals posted on the trade board. It’s a joke.

Never once thought to visit each teams board and bad mouth everyone. Shoo fly.

What's wrong with going to the source ??? And only here trying to offer corrective services, as it seems a few CHI fans want to get DEN rookie players while giving up CHI under performers....but if I've worn out my welcome I'll be on my way. Peace Out !!

Here’s a corrective service, worry about your underperforming team and underperforming players, and hopefully that franchise will accomplish something someday.

You really don’t understand the English language do you ? Underperforming is when your continual high draft picks fail to get your Chicago team to the playoffs.

Nah, underperforming is making the WCF one year and the next year sitting at the 7 seed. Poor Jokic, probably will request a trade soon to a big boy market.

I digress, not the point of this thread, enough time has been wasted. Ta-ta!

He also grumbled earlier in the season about not starting. Questionable character.

“I am a starter,” Barton said, via The Athletic’s Kendra Andrews. “I have no plans on being a sixth man. I have no desire to be that.”

Under the premise that we would only be giving up non-core assets like a straight-up deal for Otto or Otto plus a guy like Hutch or Val, I don't see any negatives. I would love to see what a bigger C could do with this line-up for half a season. IMO, there is a lot of value to a test drive before resigning a guy like Drummond. Also, I am of the opinion that the market for him is going to be $20M plus next offseason.

There’s no way that’s his market. There would be actual interest in him if it was. 20+ mil for Drummond would be insane.

Bro - you come to our board because someone posted a trade on the trade board (didn’t even tell us what the deal was) and flame our organization in the process. Then you act like RJ Hampton and Zeke Nnaji weren’t passed by over 20 teams, yet suddenly they’re valuable trade assets. You even went as far as implying that they’re both better players than Patrick Williams (4th pick), who is receiving significant minutes in the starting line up at only 19 years old. Now you’re still here insulting people?

You didn’t come to have a basketball discussion. You’ve overstayed your welcome.

I mean to put NOT in there. I am NOT of the opinion he'll get $20M+. If we are conceding trying to contend by keeping Lauri, resigning Drummond would be a double-down.

Well, I guess BEING IN THE PLAYOFFS is better performance than not, at least we still have a shot, right ??

And Ta-ta, ....that's cute

9 more Bulls games before the trade deadline.

Is that enough time...
- Lauri to show enough to stay?
- Show enough to be traded for assets?

I think Lauri will help us quite a bit especially against size. Also think Lauri at 5 and Thad at 4 will be really good.

Return to Chicago Bulls
