I think Garland plays but Mobley and Hunter miss the game. I expect Garland to be limited even if he does go.

Watched the first half of the games so far:

1st Quarter: Mostly what I saw from the Cavs was bad communication, bad close outs leading to easy buckets in by the Pacers. Cavs looked like they were not ready for the speed at which the Pacers play. Guys were not where they should be and there as at least 8 points that were just surrendered to the Pacers. Cavs also missed some open looks, but that happens. Looking at the stats for the whole game, both team generated lots of open looks from beyond the arc.

2nd Quarter: Much better on the defensive end. Shots started to fall. Still missed easy buckets. Mitchell forcing it a bit to much. Cavs dominating the paint. Seems like they adjusted okay to what the Pacers are doing.

Just saw the report on Hunter and Mobley. Oof. If Garland also can't go tomorrow? That would be a wrap. Going down 0-2 would seem likely if you are missing 3 major contributors.

Bruh, we’ve had it worse than most franchises with Granger, Paul George, and Dipo all going down in the middle of their prime haha.

Not to mention the Tinsley/JO years where it just felt we never had a healthy team all at once.

Dean Wade looked like he was a little gimpy in the second half of the game, too.

Watched NBA Today on ESPN thinking Game 1 of this series would be a big part of the discussion, but they didn't mention it until 47 minutes into the episode and then spent 3 minutes on it. Why do they even bother with a daily NBA show if they aren't going to cover NBA basketball?

Most Pacer fans know we are lucky to have a great basketball writer in Caitlin Cooper. She's on Patreon as Basketball She Wrote. Here's her game one podcast from YouTube.

This is the life us Pacers fans live.

Literally had an “expert” predict the Bucks to win and followed it with “I’m not going to lie, I haven’t watched the Pacers play.”

Guarantee LeBron who isn’t in the playoffs got more airtime.

That’s pretty much the series if that ends up being the case.

Caitlin and Samson are the two best basketball analysts right now.

A system like reddit, where convos are grouped would save us a lot of time and skimming through.

Reddit is the worst. Any dissenting opinion gets buried within minutes of being posted. If a fan base is generally positive, critical opinions get downvoted. If a fan base is generally negative, positive opinions get downvoted. There is no such thing as measured discussion.

I prefer to decide what opinions I agree or disagree with on my own. I don't want the forum to filter opinions for me based on how popular/unpopular they are.

Man, I really hope it doesn't happen. If it's Mobley's ankle like it's being said then the play where he injured it had to be the one where Siakam leaked out for an easy transition bucket with about 3 (or 4) remaining, correct? It looked like Mobley stepped awkwardly as he was trying to chase after Siakam.

It's been like that all day on all the sports talk shows.

Their preview of Celtics-Knicks was a short segment about Tatum getting a haircut lol. Which was disappointing to me, but honestly it probably got more screen time than the Pacers big win last night.

I laughed, but I honestly never want anyone to get hurt. Just their feelings. Crushed souls, that kinda thing.

We've had our fair share of devastating injuries over the years.
