I hope those two candidates are off the list. What a grave lack of intelligence to not even understand we can't have cap room this summer for KG. Either Stephen is wrong, misquoted the way the candidates said S/T instead of just signing, or we have two candidates who should be off the list and I think we did have a wider list of candidates at one point so who knows if those two are even on the remaining list or were at least misquoted.

Stephen Jackson in an elimination game is 6/6 from 3 right now. Nah, let's keep Hedo...

This quote says a lot.

says that the Magic haven't contacted Jackson. that annoys me. i don't care if he doesn't get the job, because i'm not sure he'd be best qualified to dictate personnel acquisitions, but i would at least like to know the Magic contacted him. if we've got time for Bower, we should make time for Phil.

i can't see KG leaving Boston after this success. i say he sticks around there to finish and hopefully have his jersey hung in the rafters. he strikes me as the kind of guy who would much rather a legacy like that than chasing just the possibility of one more ring.

BTW, who the f*** would pay KG $10M a season? he should be playing for nothing but the vet min from now on to do good by his team.

oh, and it seems Dwight does know what he's talking about when he requests certain players. SJax is having a bigger game than any player on the Magic not named Davis. oh, and Davis was the other guy Dwight requested.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't we have had Ellis if we elected to take on Jackson too? I don't remember the rumored 3-team trade.

J-Rich and Turkoglu for Ariza and Okafor. Yes or no?

Yes. Okafor can be flipped easily, and is decent insurance if Dwight bolts.

Well, on this board, we could have theoretically had them, but the majority didn't want them, especially not SJax.

+1
Okafor + JJ + 19th for Monta or Josh Smith

maybe... Okafor could hopefully be moved, and Ariza could be a good energy guy to have back onboard again.

why would the Hornets do that, though?

Hedo's contract is not fully guaranteed for its final year, and J-Rich could likely be spun into a second round pick (e.g. MIN) or similar value, allowing them to clear space. They are purportedly offering their 10th pick to whichever team is willing to absorb one of Ariza or Okafor, purely for cap reasons.

Meanwhile, we roll into the season with Dwight Howard/Emeka Okafor/Trevor Ariza/JJ Redick/Jameer Nelson, with a phenomenal defensive lineup, a new coach and a new GM at the helm.

Looking at all the young faces on that team, I wish we had a great core of young players and not overpaid and under motivated vets.

Congrats to the thunder, to Sam Presti for sticking with and keeping his team together.

After watching this series, I really want Troy Weaver. That FO built a championship team the right way, we could use that kind of experience.

I know, I'm so damn jealous.

They are what we could've been had we been smarter.

I wonder, some of you may attack me for this but, if we had cleared enough cap in 2010, I wonder if Lebron would've came here?

Instant dynasty, imo.
