I've spent too much time researching him in the last day, but he's my early season draft crush. Wish the Bucks had another 1st.

Yeah, I love him too. I'm a Cuse student though (but I'm generally pretty hard on our players). I really liked MCW as a pro prospect, and I really like Grant as a pro prospect. His athleticism is off the charts, and he's a great rebounder. I see him as a face-up 4 if he adds some bulk to his frame personally, but some see him as a long SF. I just don't think he can stretch the floor enough to be a 3. But man, if he develops a mid-range game and becomes more disciplined on the defensive end (right now, he jumps around more than a rabbit mixed with a kangaroo), he's going to be a GREAT player. As a Cuse fan, I was hoping it would take him one more year to develop enough to be a lottery pick, but these past few games he's stepped up big time.

He's looks to have more strength than Hakim Warrick, but if he doesn't develop a shot...

If we keep this tank up and end up getting lucky with the lotto balls and secure a #1, the 5 minutes that the Bucks will be on the clock will be the 5 tensest minutes of my life. I don't think I'll be able to watch. Memories such as Tobias getting traded for 3 months of a 3rd guard, Joe Alexander being selected with the 8th overall pick, and the front office saying they want ellis and not curry for bogut will be running over and over again in my mind. I WONT BE ABLE TO TAKE IT! The incompetence of this organization will literally give me a heart attack if the pick isn't Parker, Wiggins, or Embiid. I can just hear Silverman saying it now... "With the first overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft, the Milwaukee Bucks select, Sam Dekker SF, Wisconsin." *cue Gery Woefel tweet* "He's a Sheboygan kid ya know. Great pick."

What's wrong with Exum or Randle? A lot of people projected Randle to be a #1 guy in any non Wiggins draft, and GMs have even said they'd take Exum #1. He just doesn't have NCAA exposure, but he def has the explosive potential.

ok guys heres a question for all of you that follow these top 5 guys.
If the bucks somehow magically the1st pick of the top 5 listed in this chart who would be the biggest impact on the bucks.I know this board is all in on the wiggins bandwagon but isn't wiggons a SF and if so why would u draft this guy when you have everyones love child giannis on this team waiting to take over the 3 spot.Wouldnt a randle, parker,or even a smart be the best choice.
I mean if ersan gets traded lets say to asik, then u could put a parker,or a randle at the 4 spot. Please give me your all opinion on this as I don't follow these guys that closely, other than the fact that exxum is a guard ,wiggins is a sf.

I think Parker is a SF as well. At the end of the day, if you have a chance to take Wiggins, you do it, and then you build around him.

Alright I forgot to throw Exum in there. I'm pretty high on him too. But at number it'd be a little disheartening to pass on two elite players like Parker and Wiggins who have demonstrated all year that they can compete. Not sure we should take a chance on an international guy there. Also by no means should Randle be taken #1 overall. He could very well become a productive player in this league, but from what I'm seeing from him at Kentucky, I want no part. I'd say 4/5 of his offensive arsenal could be shut down fairly easily with the athleticism and strength of nba players. 6'9 is just not the size of a #1 overall pick PF. I think Parker could pair well with Giannis. He has the ability to play SG cuz of his terrific handle. And Giannis is a crafty passer and could get him so great looks not to mention Parker's ability to get his own. Wiggins can't really play anywhere but sf unless you wanted to go small ball, but I woukd understand drafting for best talent and not need when you have a top pick like that

Exum worries me. If his athleticism doesn't translate to the NBA, his shot won't be able to save him at all. Worried he will end up as another Monta Ellis.

You're worried about athleticism translating? :eek1:

The only real problem Monta has is being one of the dumbest players in the NBA.

In the sense that he is quick against the guys we see in the videos, but will he be able to do the same moves in the NBA. Will he be able to get the baskets inside. Will he be strong enough. I just wish he had any shot whatsoever and he would be hands down a number 1 pick.

Yeah I don't get the monta Ellis comparison. Monta was one of the fastest players in the league before his moped injury and even now he still has an elite first step. Athleticism is absolutely not his problem at all.

Cant wait to see Gordon vs Parker tomorrow. Going to be interesting to see Gordon's D against Parker's offense.

Embiid is so impressive. His footwork is ridiculous given how long he's been playing the sport

This x1000.

I've been nervous about him fast rising up draft boards. Have to hope guys like Robinson, Harris, Harrell, Saric also impress and take up those 9-14 spots.

I should clarify. The athleticism should be fine (although we still are seeing him play against non-college teams), but If he has no jump shot whatsoever, will defenders just play off him? The shot is just really flat.

I'll be interested if this supposed "improved jumper" is for real or just a hot streak. A lot of those threes were pretty ill advised looks. He'll certainly need to improve his shot selection.

Exum's jump shot can't be much worse than Michael Carter Williams'.

He doesn't sound like the passer MCW is either.
