I don't see how that trade helps anybody.
How can grizz take on more salary when they are over the cap?

They will add more pieces but **** that is a horrible trade for the Grizzlies. Who do they like enough to take on all that salary?

They're a small market team, they aren't signing anyone with caproom. If they want Josh Giddey that badly and he solidifies their core group then it's worth it in the end.

Memphis isn't an FA destination. getting the #10 and a future protected lakers pick is a haul when your franchise player is still on a rookie scale contract.

If we made that deal, there would be rioting in the streets around 7th Ave and 32nd St.

The Memphis are under the cap. If they waive all the busts like Winslow, they have 24M of cap space.

That is a hefty price to move up. They must be eyeing someone up.

We're not a small market team, people talk about caproom here so much because they envision us using it to sign big free agents. The Grizz are never going to sign anyone of note with caproom, it makes more sense to use that caproom to get the talent they want via draft / trade than it is to just sit on it.

Yup. REALLY eyeing someone to move up a few spots. If that was the cost then I’m more than good. I still want to see some smaller moves on or before draft night though.

That would be interesting. I do like Giddey a lot.

NO saving a lot of money...maybe to resign Lonzo

Jonas was a great fit with the Grizz young core. His game didn’t really get in the way of Jah or JJJ

I think they'll make a crazy offer for Lowry, they are gonna be desperate to get Zion to the playoffs.

I'm tired of the high taxes narrative. Lebron went from Miami to Los Angeles. Harden went from Houston to Brooklyn. Kawhi asked out of San Antonio and eventually signed in Los Angeles. Durant OKC to Golden State. Lebron didn't sign with the Heat in 2010 for no state income tax, it was to play with Dwayne Wade.

Morant/Melton/Jones
Brooks/G.Allen
Giddey/Bane
Clarke/
JJJ/Tillman

It's a really promising young rotation with all players 25 years old or younger.
