Think of the concept of a carnival dunk tank.

Ben Simmons and Rich Paul are seated in a chamber-like contraption that dumps a bucket of popcorn on their head after a fan makes a free throw. Fans pay 5 bucks for a shot. All proceeds are put towards Devin Booker and Kendall Jenner's date night.

No apology needed. Philly fans love dumping popcorn on people down at Wells Fargo Center.

Yeah I don’t care about an apology lol or even the booing really more just talking about just what’s best for his personal brand. If they didn’t care about optics they wouldn’t be constantly leaking stuff. I wasn’t even really talking about improving his standing in Philly more nationally which is why I mentioned ESPN.

He can either handle it in a slick video produced by Klutch or he can awkwardly respond to some crappy Howard Eskin question.

Does Simmons sit out home games to avoid being booed is my question.

Not unless he wants to literally never be traded. Of all the events so far that would kill his value more than any of them. That would show something is truly wrong in his head and he’s really mentally weak, he either plays all games or doesn’t play

90% of the home crowd will once he shows his face. It's pretty stupid, but to be expected at this point.

If there was ever a player who deserved to be booed it's SImmons. Comeon now.

Otherwise the first time he talks is going to be like an awkward press conference with Howard Eskin and so on asking him all these questions that he won't answer.

He should just go full Marshawn Lynch mode. "I'm here to win a Championship" and just keep repeating it over and over again.

If I had to guess he’ll try something like this where he just doesn’t actually explain himself and it will be awkward.

Deserved or not, doing something performative that's against your own best interests is dumb.

Be quiet, let him get traded, then boo him into the Delaware River when he comes back with his new team if you want. That won't be what happens, but it should be.

I think booing is lame in general. I think people round here overuse it if anything. IMO if you really want to "stick it to Ben" then you simply don't even react lol. Playing into the stereotype philly fan bull will actually hurt more than anything lol. I want to see Klutch twist apathy into something more than "see the fans are basically trying to shoot him" hysterics .

But of course...thats not going to happen. He's going to get booed. Hopefully thats all it is and we all move on. No dumb chants. No throwing ****. None of that. Boo his ass at introductions and leave it at that.

Enough of Scam Moore splicing interview responses up to continue pushing his desperate agenda and farm clicks. Nobody in the organization cares anymore. I would be shocked if Ben got boo'd with any amount of significance either as long as he comes out playing hard from the jump.

Actually, I’m happy to see Ben back. That’s does not mean I don’t want him traded, I do, but only for a very good player in return.

First of all, Ben isn't back because he wants to make peace with the fans, the city, or explain himself. He's back so he can get paid. As a fan I honestly don't want him here either but he needs to be moved on our timetable and when the right opportunity presents itself.

Until then Ben is going to get booed and he'll just have to deal with it and if there is ever anyone who deserves it it's him. Not only for his coward move against Young in the playoffs but also his coward move in the offseason. I fully expect him to not take responsibility or ownership when it happens eventhough it's probably the most well deserved philly welcome in my lifetime.

This is the Sixers, so what are the odds that he plays and suffers an actual injury along the way? Sigh.

It’s clearly an extremely awkward situation that they’re trying to be professional about.

If Ben gets chased out by boos from our own Philly crowd, it shows really how stupid Philly fans are, I hope they are smart enough to keep their mouth shut until he gets traded, or by a miracle, learns to shoot

Ben wont give a s#%t about any Philly Boo's, he will probably feed off it.
And if any Fool wants to throw anything - then expect all that comes your way.

Are you now ready to come out and say you’re only here to troll Sixers fans at this point?

Sixers “fans” will be trolling themselves if they boo one of their own players

It’s a terrible look and any real fan knows it
